TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC136030558:
The City of Manchester (Birch Street, Gorton & Abbey Hey Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2023 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Birch Street from Great Jones Street to Corby Street.
The alternative routes for traffic will be: Corby Street, Bertram Street, Great Jones Street and Vice Versa.
The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Gas utility works.
It is expected that the works will be in progress from 30th October 2023 to 10th November 2023. The order shall come into operation on 30th October 2023 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
