NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers
under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order to the
effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:
• A road closure in that length of Milsom Street, from its junction with Green Street
extending south to where it meets New Bond Street. USRN: 47900065.
• A road closure in that length of New Bond Street, from where it meets Milsom
Street extending to its junction with Northgate Street. USRN: 47913552.
• A temporary reversal of the one-way restriction on Green Street. This will allow
traffic to turn from Milsom Street into Green Street and travel in an easterly
direction only, with traffic exiting onto Broad Street.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or
near the road to enable Ferns Group to renew a carriageway frame and cover on
behalf of Openreach on the 29th October 2023 for a maximum period of 1 night.
The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not
be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute
the works. This is anticipated to be for ONE NIGHT between 19:15 - 05:00hrs only.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers
under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order to the
effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of
Pennyquick, Newton St Loe, Bath from its junction with Colliers Lane extending
north west to its junction with Clays End Lane. USRN: 47917467.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or
near the road to enable Openreach to renew a frame and cover on the 28th October
2023 for a maximum period of 2 nights. The road will only be restricted as and when
traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but
only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for
ONE NIGHT between 19:00 - 07:00hrs only.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers
under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to
the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:
• A footway closure on either side of Windsor Bridge Road from its junction with the
A4 Upper Bristol Road extending south for approximately 130 metres.
• A road closure from its junction with the A4 Upper Bristol Road extending south for
approximately 130 metres. USRN: 47900035.
• A temporary suspension of the 7.5 tonne weight restriction to permit vehicles to
travel along the lengths of roads listed in Schedule 1 of this order, as part of the
diversion route.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or
near the road to enable Penny’s to remove a redundant pipeline bridge on the 11th
November 2023 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted
as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the
period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated
to be for TWO DAYS between 11th - 12th November (weekend closure). The date
of the closure is subject to change if there is adverse weather. Access will be
maintained to Stable Yard Industrial Estate from the A36 Lower Bristol Road.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers
under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order to the
effect of which will be to close temporarily to pedestrians, cyclists, escooters, horse
riders and vehicles, suspend all parking to vehicles in the lengths of roads listed in
Schedule 1 and to temporarily introduce a no right turn restriction.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or
near the road for resurfacing and associated works by Bath and North East Somerset
Council on the 30th October 2023 for a maximum period of 18 months. The road
will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be
effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute
the works. This is anticipated to be for up to TWO WEEKS at each location.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers
under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order to the
effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of
Workshop Lane, Newton St Loe, Bath from its junction with Friday Lane extending
east for approximately 50 metres. USRN: 47903871.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on
or near the road to enable contractors to carry out sewer connection works on the
30th October 2023 for a maximum period of 3 weeks. The road will only be restricted

NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Bath and North East Somerset Council in pursuance of the
provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an
order of the effect of which will be to prohibit temporarily to vehicles in the lengths
of roads specified in the attached Schedules 1 and 2.
This Order is required because of necessary maintenance works being carried out
to Cleveland Bridge and will be operative from Thursday 16th November 2023 for a
period of 12 months or until the repairs to the bridge have been completed, if sooner.

Nothing in Schedule 1 of this order shall render it unlawful to cause or permit any
heavy commercial vehicle to enter on or proceed in the lengths of road referred to in
this Schedule if the vehicle is being used in connection with the carrying out on, or
on premised situated on or adjacent to, that length of road of any of the following
operations, namely:-
a) for or in connection with the loading or unloading, or removals from any premises
situated on or accessible only from that length of road;
b) building, industrial or demolition operations; the removal of obstruction to traffic;
the removal of or the recycling of refuse or waste; the maintenance, improvement
or reconstruction of the road; the laying, erection, alteration or repair in, or in land
adjacent to, the said length of road of any sewer or of any main, pipe or apparatus
for the supply of gas, water or electricity or of any telecommunications apparatus;
c) in the service of a local authority, the Environment Agency, a water undertaker or
sewerage undertaker in pursuance of statutory powers or duties;
d) for fire brigade, police, ambulance or military purposes;
e) for the collection or removal of vehicles located on or only accessible from that
length of road;
f) in connection with a circus, fair or similar event the holding of which on or in the
vicinity of that length of road has been authorised by Bath and North East
Somerset Council;
g) for or in connection with Royal Mail from any premises situated on or accessible
only from that length of road.
SCHEDULE 2 – Prohibition of Motor Vehicles over 18 Tonnes

1) Cleveland Bridge, Bath |
From its junction with St Johns Road in a north-west direction including Cleveland Bridge to a point 70 Metres south east of its junction with London Road. |
Schedule 2 does not apply to:-
a) if the vehicle is being used by Avon Fire & Rescue Service;
b) if the vehicle is being used in connection with or carrying out the maintenance of
highways, structures or utility apparatus in Bathwick Street, Cleveland Bridge and
Cleveland Place with prior approval from an authorised officer at Bath & North East
Somerset Council;
c) if the vehicle is being used in connection with gritting of roads by National
Highways;
d) if the vehicle is being used in connection with building, industrial or demolition
operations with prior approval from an authorised officer at Bath & North East
Somerset Council;
e) the removal of obstruction to traffic with prior approval from an authorised officer
at Bath & North East Somerset Council;
f) the removal of or the recycling of refuse or waste with prior approval from an
authorised officer at Bath & North East Somerset Council;
g) the maintenance, improvement or reconstruction of the road; the laying, erection,
alteration or repair in, or in land adjacent to, the said length of road of any sewer
or of any main, pipe or apparatus for the supply of gas, water or electricity or of
any telecommunications apparatus in St John’s Road and Grove Street, where
such vehicles have no other means of access to these streets, with prior approval
from an authorised officer at Bath & North East Somerset Council.
