Various Roads, Frome in the Parish of Frome (Temporary Traffic Restrictions) Order 2023 Frome Lightworks 2023

Notice is hereby given that on Friday 20th day of October 2023 Somerset Council made the above Order in pursuance of the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, as previously advertised on the 12th of October 2023, the effect of which will be to introduce the following temporary traffic as detailed in the Schedules to this Notice. The Order shall come into operation on the 26th day of October 2023 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The Order will be made to facilitate the Frome Lightworks 2023 and is in the interest of public safety. The restrictions shall apply when indicated by traffic signs. Exemptions are provided in the Order for emergency vehicles and any vehicles associated with the event and by businesses or delivery vehicles requiring access and for any residents requiring access and egress.

Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles
between the hours of 17:30 and 20:30 on Saturday 4th November 2023
Rodden Road, Frome – from its junction with Berkley Road, in a northerly direction to its junction with the Enos way.

Schedule 2
Temporary Prohibition of No Waiting at Any Time between the hours of 14:00 and 20:30 on Saturday 4th November 2023
Berkley Road, Frome – from its junction with the B3090 (North Parade) in an easterly direction to its junction with Rodden Road.

Schedule 3
Temporary Prohibition of Footpath between the hours 18:00 and 20:00 on Saturday 4th November 2023
FR 14/1, Frome – from its junction with Berkely Road, in a northerly direction for a distance of 100 metres.

Schedule 4
Temporary Prohibition of Footpath between the hours 09:00 and 22:00 on Saturday 4th November 2023
FR 14/1, Frome – from a point 100 metres north of its junction with Berkley Road, in a northerly direction for 140 metres.

Statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order.
a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; or b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
