Murray Road (B3121), Ottershaw
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 25 October 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Murray Road (B3121), Ottershaw which extends with Brox Road (C129) to its junction with Guildford Road (A320) roundabout for a distance of approximately 35m. Alternative Route – Guildford Road (A320), Saint Peter’s Way (A320/A317), Chertsey Road (A318), High Street (A317), Church Road (B3121) And Spinney Hill (B3121) or the same route in reverse.
The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works which is anticipated to be completed within 3 days, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 01 November 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles and residents will be maintained with in the closure.
B376 Bridge Street and B376 Wraysbury Road, Staines upon Thames
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 25 October 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1)(7) and Part IV to Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: – 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in: –
a) The entire length of B376 Bridge Street, Staines upon Thames.
b) That length of B376 Wraysbury Road, Staines upon Thames that extends from its junction with B376 Bridge Street, to the boundary of Surrey County Council with Windsor and Maidenhead Unitary Authority.
2. Suspend the First Schedule to “The Spelthorne Borough Council (Staines Bridge and Church Street, Staines)(Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles)Order 1987”.
3. Revoke Part g) to the Schedule to “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Spelthorne Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023”.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out major maintenance and/or carriageway resurfacing and/or improvement works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8pm and 6am, as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 October 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures and suspension will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Access for residents and businesses will be maintained via the vehicular diversion routes and/or access provisions described below: – From the southern end of closure, B376 Bridge Street – A308 Staines Bridge, A308 Chertsey Lane, A308 The Causeway, A308 The Glanty, A30 Egham By-Pass, A30 Slip Road, A30 Staines By-Pass, Heron Lake Road and B376 Wraysbury Road. From the northern end of closure, B376 Wraysbury Road – B376 Wraysbury Road, Heron Lake Road, A30 Staines By-Pass R/A, A30 Slip Road, A308 The Glanty, A308 Egham By-Pass, A308 The Glanty, A308 The Causeway, A308 Chertsey Lane R/A and A308 Staines Bridge. For Hale Street – D6362 Mustard Hill Road, A308 South Street, A308 Thames Street, A308 Clarence Street and then join main diversion route as above. Note – Traffic will be able to access A308 Staines Bridge as normal but only go right into Clarence Street towards Crooked Billet R/A.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
D216 Sample Oak Lane, Chilworth
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023
On 25 October 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1)(7) and Part IV to Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: –
1. Prohibit all traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) from entering or proceeding in that length of D216 Sample Oak Lane, Chilworth that is crossed by the level crossing and for a distance of 30m either side.
2. Revoke the “Surrey County Council Sample Oak Lane (D216) Chilworth (No.3) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022” in its entirety.
3. Suspend “The Surrey County Council D216 Sample Oak Lane, Chilworth and Blackheath Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Network Rail to gain access and/or carry out inspections and/or deliveries and/or installations and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out within 9 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 10 November 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. From 10pm on 10/11/2023 to 9:30am on 18/11/2023.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times under direction of site operatives. Access for residents, businesses, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times via the alternative route: – Sample Oak Lane, Blackheath Lane, New Road, Dorking Road and Sample Oak Lane. Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times by minibus (to be provided by Atkins).
Various Roads in the Borough of Guildford, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order No.5 2023
On 25 October 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in: –
a) The entire length of D232 Send Hill, Send – Guildford. Alternative route: – D233 Potters Lane and A247 Send Road.
b) The entire length of D238 Grove Heath Lane, Ripley.
Alternative route: – D237 Gambles Lane, C38 Hungry Hill Lane and C40 Rose Lane.
c) The entire length of C46 Sandy Lane, Shere. Alternative Route: – C46 Pitch Hill, B2127 Ockley Road, B2126 Holmbury Lane, B2126 Miles Hill, B2126 Horsham Road, B2126 Felday Road, A25 Dorking Road, A25 Shere Road, C46 Gomshall Road and C46 Middle Street.
d) That length of C45 Combe Lane, Shere that extends from its junction with A25 Shere Road, to the southern side of its junction with C45 Staple Lane. Alternative Route: – C45 Staple Lane, A246 Epsom Road and A25 Shere Road.
e) The entire length of D194 Shophouse Lane, Farley Green. Alternative Route: – D194 Row Lane, D194 Winterfold Heath Road, D192 Windmill Plain, C46 Hound House Road, D222 Shere Heath Road, D222 Little London, D222 Brook Lane and D194 Brook Hill.
f) The entire length of C37 White Lane and C37 Guildford Lane, Albury. Alternative Route: – A248 The Street, A248 Sherbourne, A25 Shere Road, A25 Epsom Road, D4007 Tangier Road, C37 Warren Lane and C37 One Tree Hill Road.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out major maintenance and/or carriageway resurfacing and/or improvement and/or footway works. These works are anticipated to be carried out within 3-12 weeks of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 November 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures and/or any part and/or parts therein will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Access for residents and businesses will be maintained via the alternative routes described above. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
D5411 Station Road, Farncombe, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 25 October 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D5411 Station Road, Farncombe that extends from its junction with D98 Farncombe Street, to the southern side of its junction with D5411 North Street.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks to make a new electrical connection and/or carry out cabling and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 4pm, within 5 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 November 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Alternative route: – Station Road, Bourne Road, Summers Road and Farncombe Street.
D4006 Nightingale Road, Guildford, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023
On 25 October 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: –
1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D4006 Nightingale Road, Guildford.
2. Suspend “The Surrey County Council D4006 Nightingale Road, Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Network Plus to carry out water mains connection and/or upgrade and/or maintenance works in D4006 Nightingale Road between the north-western side of its junction with Park Chase and the western property boundary of “No.7 Nightingale Road”. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 7am and 7pm, within 4 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 November 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times via the footway on the opposite side to the works. Access for emergency vehicles, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times.
Alternative route: – Nightingale Road, London Road, Stoke Road and Nightingale Road.
Trumps Green Road (C10) Virginia Water, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2023 On 25 October 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14 (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Trumps Green Road (C10) Virginia Water as extends from the bridge known as “Trumps Green Road Bridge” and for a distance of 30 metres either side; and, (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Trumps Green Road (C10) Virginia Water Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety.
Alternative Route: Trumps Green Road, Sandhills Lane, Green Road, Lyne Lane, Bridge Lane, and Trumps Green Road or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate removal of vegetation and installation bridge plate works for, or on behalf of Dyer and Butler. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 nights between the hours of 11pm and 6am within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 06 November 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Langley Road (D3289) Staines Upon Thames, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 25 October 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Langley Road (D3289) Staines Upon Thames. Alternative Route: (B376) Laleham Road, Edgell Road, and Wyatt Road or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate water connection works for, or on behalf of Affinity Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 06 November 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Walton Park Lane (D3837) Walton On Thames and Embercourt Road (B364) Thames Ditton
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 25 October 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of; (a) Walton Park Lane (D3837) Walton on Thames. Alternative Route: Walton Park, and Denton Grove or this route in reverse; and (b) that length of Embercourt Road (B364) Thames Ditton as extends from its junction with (A309) Hampton Court Way to its junction with (6966) Weston Green Road.
Alternative Route: (1) (B364) Station Road, (B364) Watts Road, (D6815) Giggs Hill Road, (A307) Portsmouth Road, (14’9” height restriction and 13’3” height restriction), (A309) Hampton Court Way, (A309) Scilly Isles Roundabout, and (A309) Hampton Court Way (14’9” height restriction). (2) (A309) Hampton Court Way (15’9” height restriction), (A307) Portsmouth Road (14’9” height restriction and 13’3” height restriction), (B364) Giggs Hill Road, (B364) Watts Road, and (B364) Station Road. N.B Please note the diversion routes (1) and (2) are not suitable for HGV’s due to height restrictions.
This Order is required to facilitate highways improvements, carriageway surfacing, and/or maintenance works by, or on behalf of Surrey County Council.
These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible, and will be nightworks, within the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 06 November 2023.

All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period.
Row Town (D3057) and Woodham Park Road (D3057) Addlestone, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 25 October 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of; (a) Row Town (D3057) Addlestone.
Alternative Route: (C128) Hare Hill, (B3121) Murray Hill, (A320) Guildford Road, (A320) Chertsey Road, (A245) Woodham Lane, (B385) Woodham Lane, and (D3057) Woodham Park Road; and, (b) the entire length of Woodham Park Road (D3057) Addlestone. Alternative Route: (D3057) Row Town, (C128) Hare Hill, (B3121) Murray Hill, (A320) Guildford Road, (A320) Chertsey Road, (A245) Woodham Lane, and (B385) Woodham Lane.

Beckingham Road (D4002) Guildford, Temporary Prohibition Traffic Order 2023
On 25 October 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles, equestrians and cyclists from entering or proceeding in that length of Beckingham Road (D4002) Guildford which extends from its junction with A323 Aldershot Road to its junction with Grantley Road.
This Order is required to enable UKPN to carry out utility works, which is anticipated to be completed within 5 days, between 8am and 11.59pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 30 October 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain access for emergency service vehicles, equestrians, cyclists, residents and businesses. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising. Alternative Route – Aldershot Road, Parkhurst Road, Weston Road/Grantley Road and Beckingham Road.
D628 Little Orchard Way, Shalford, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D628 Little Orchard Way, Shalford.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Clancy/Gigaclear to carry out ducting for fibre optic connection and/or cabling and/or maintenance works in D628 Little Orchard Way, between the northern side of its junction with D628 Oaklands Close, and the south-eastern property boundary of “No.17 Little Orchard Way”.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9am and 6pm, within 3 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 November 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the lengths of roads above, or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or preventing the likelihood of such danger arising. Access for emergency vehicles, residents and businesses will be maintained to the point of excavations via the alternative route: – Poplar Road, Chinthurst Lane and Summersbury Drive.
Dorrit Crescent (D629) Guildford, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Dorrit Crescent (D629) Guildford as extends from its junction with (C15) Broad Street to a point in line with the common boundary between No.30 and No.31 Dorrit Crescent. Alternative Route: Dorrit Crescent, and Broad Street.
This Order is required to facilitate installation/removal of underground cabling works for, or on behalf of Road Traffic Solutions.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 November 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Westway (D4001) Guildford, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Westway (D4001) Guildford as extends from its junction with (D4001) Aldershot Road to its junction with (D4001) Hillspur Road; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Westway (D4001) Guildford and Aldershot Road (D4001) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice. Alternative Route: Westway, Southway, and (A323) Aldershot Road or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate installation of new water connection works for, or on behalf of Thames Water.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 12 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 November 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Coombelands Lane (D3095) Addlestone, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Coombelands Lane (D3095) Addlestone.
This Order is required to facilitate installation/removal/replacement of underground cabling works for, or on behalf of Road Traffic Solutions.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 November 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. There is no alternative route for this closure.
Plough Lane (D276) Cranleigh, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Plough Lane (D276) Cranleigh.
Alternative Route: The Green, (B2127) The Street, (B2127) Ockley Road, and North Breache Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate new electrical connection works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 November 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Various Roads in Waverley, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.8) 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
This Order, which will commence on 20 November 2023 for a period of 18 months is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said roads, to be carried out by or on behalf of Surrey County Council, including but not limited to: carriageway/footway patching and/or carriageway/footway surface dressing and/or carriageway/footway resurfacing and/or major highway maintenance works.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only. Temporary Traffic Management Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: –
1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of: – a) C233 Chertsey Road, Sunbury on Thames that extends from its junction with A244 Cadbury Road, to the north-eastern side of the north-eastern roundabout junction with the “BP International” access roads.
Alternative route – C233 Chertsey Road, Staines Road West and Cadbury Road. b) A244 Chertsey Road, Sunbury on Thames that extends from its junction with C233 Chertsey Road, to the boundary of Surrey County Council with The London Borough of Hounslow.
Alternative route – Cadbury Road, Staines Road West, School Road, Convent Road, Feltham Road, Ashford Road and Chertsey Road. c) C233 Groveley Road, Sunbury on Thames that extends from its junction with A244 Cadbury Road, to the western side of its junction with D6313 King Georges Close.
Alternative route – Groveley Road, Vicarage Road, Staines Road West and Cadbury Road. d) A244 Cadbury Road, Sunbury on Thames that extends from its junction with C233 Groveley Road, to the northern side of the access to “142 Cadbury Road”.
Alternative route – Cadbury Road, Staines Road West, School Road, Convent Road, Feltham Road, Ashford Road and Chertsey Road. 2.a) Prohibit vehicles that are proceeding in a north-easterly direction on C233 Chertsey Road, Sunbury on Thames from turning left into A244 Chertsey Road.
Alternative Route – Cadbury Road (A244), Staines Road West (A308) and Cadbury Road (A244). b) Prohibit vehicles that are proceeding in a northerly direction on A244 Cadbury Road, Sunbury on Thames from turning left into C233 Chertsey Road. Alternative Route – A244 Chertsey Road, Ashford Road, Feltham Road, Convent Road, School Road, Staines Road and C233 Chertsey Road.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to provide signalised pedestrian/cycle crossing facilities and/or carry out associated works to include – kerbing, installing street furniture and markings and/or resurfacing and/or highway maintenance works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out in phases within 10 weeks of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 December 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary prohibitions which are anticipated may be required for 24 hours each day during certain phases of the works, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative routes described above. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Eashing Lane (D94) Milford/Godalming, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Eashing Lane (D94) Milford/Godalming which extends from its junction with A283 Guildford Road to its junction with the western arm of Aarons Hill. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate road marking installation works, vegetation works and/or maintenance/highway works.
These works are anticipated to be completed within 1 week, as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 16 November 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Due to the nature of works, the footway will also be closed to traffic however access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained when safe to do so. No sole means of pedestrian access to any premises will be affected.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises, including emergency vehicle access, within the length of road above or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising. Alternative Route – Eashing Lane, A3100 Portsmouth Road, A283 Guildford Road and Eashing Lane.
Benbrick Road (D4019) Guildford, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Benbrick Road (D4019) Guildford.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate zebra crossing construction works and/or maintenance works, which is anticipated to be carried out within 4 weeks, between 8am and 5pm on weekdays and between 8am and 4pm on Saturdays, as soon as possible within the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence 13 November 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained via the signed diversion route.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Alternative Route – The Chase, The Oval, Stag Hill and Alresford Road.
Church Road (D6805) Long Ditton, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Church Road (D6805) Long Ditton which extends from its junction with Ditton Hill Road and Chalcott Gardens.
This Order is required to enable Thames Water to facilitate main installation works and/or water works, which is anticipated to be completed within 10 days, between 8am and 5pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 13 November 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times and if necessary by way of road plates.
Alternative Route – Ditton Hill Road, Fleece Road and Rectory Lane.
