The City Of Manchester - Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic
What is happening?
MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC136071088: The City of Manchester (Ringway Road, Woodhouse Park Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2023 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Ringway Road from its junction with Woodhouse Lane to it’s the entrance to the Mid-Stay car park. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Woodhouse Lane, Hallman Road, Hotel Road. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Carriageway Repairs. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 6th November 2023 to 7th November 2023 between the hours of 22:00 and 03:00. The order shall come into operation on 6th November 2023 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 26th October 2023.
ORDER NO. MCC136081729: The City of Manchester (Brynton Road, Rusholme Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2023 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Brynton Road from Copthorne Crescent to Number 23 Brynton Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Copthorne Crescent, Meldon Road and Vice Versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate utility works. It is expected that the works will be in progress on 6th November 2023 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:30. The order shall come into operation on 6th November 2023 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 26th October 2023.
ORDER NO. MCC000136119334: The City of Manchester (Wilmslow Road, Withington Ward) (Temporary Suspension of Bus Lane & Temporary Closure of Cycle Lane) Order 2023 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to suspend the operation of the bus lane and prohibit any pedal cycle (and any pedestrian) from proceeding at any time in the following length of cycle lane: Wilmslow Road, from its junction with Lorne Road in a Southerly direction for a distance of 45 metres. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition and suspension is necessary in order to facilitate Telecoms civils to install new cabinet and mast on footway on Wilmslow Road. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 6th November 2023 to 8th November 2023. The order shall come into operation on 6th November 2023 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 26th October 2023.
ORDER NO. MCC000136117300: The City of Manchester (Smallwood Street, Miles Platting & Newton Heath Ward)(Temporary No waiting and No Loading) Order 2023 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to restrict vehicular parking south-west from a point 10 metres south east of its junction with Silk Street in a south easterly direction to a point 5 metres north-west of its junction with Great Newton Street. The City Council is satisfied that this restriction is necessary in order to facilitate utility works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 6th November 2023 to 10th November 2023. The order shall come into operation on 6th November 2023 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If the restriction ends within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
