Temporary Traffic Regulation Notice 2023
Notice Is Hereby Given That Monmouthshire County Council of County Hall, The Rhadyr, Usk, NP15 1GA (“the Council”) Has made an order pursuant to the powers conferred by Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The Order came into operation on the 30th October 2023 and will continue to be in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be completed between 30th October 2023 and 3rd December 2023.
The order was necessary to install a new retaining structure to support the road and stabilise the embankment, these works are essential and need to take place in a safe manner at the location.
The effect of the order was to temporarily close a section of B4521 Trebella Farm Near Skenfrith, Skenfrith, Monmouthshire, ~360m from its junction with R36 Celyn-Kiln to the Boot for ~205m in a south-easterly direction. Road closed to all vehicular traffic including pedestrians, cyclists and to the leading or riding of horses or any other animals.
A signed diversionary route was in place as follows:- R36 Celyn-Kiln to the Boot, B4347, B4521 and vice versa.
This order may be cited as the B4521 Trebella Farm Near Skenfrith, Skenfrith, Monmouthshire Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2023
By virtue of Section 16(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 a person who contravenes a restriction or prohibition imposed under Section 14 of the Act shall be guilty of an offence.
