NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Flowers Lane/Middlewich Road, Minshull Vernon/Leighton/Woolstanwood
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Flowers Lane, Minshull Vernon – For its full extents.
Middlewich Road, Minshull Vernon/Leighton/Woolstanwood – From the junction with Flowers Lane to the junction with Pyms Lane.
The alternative route will be via Middlewich Road, Coppenhall Lane Roundabout, A530 Roundabout, Nantwich By Pass, Nantwich Road Roundabout, Nantwich Bypass, Roundabout A500 Cheerbrook, Shavington Bypass, Shavington Bypass Roundabout, Crewe Green Link Roundabout, David Whitby Way, Savoy Road Weston Road Roundabout, University Way, Crewe Road Roundabout, Hungerford Road, Sydney Road, Remer Street, Middlewich Street, North Street Roundabout, North Street, Bradfield Road and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Friday 3 November 2023 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Tuesday 30 April 2024.

NOTICE OF PROPOSAL – SPEED LIMIT ORDER (Various Roads) (Consolidation) Order 2022 (Amendment No. 5) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Section 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 38, 45, 46, 51, 53, 61, 81, 82 and 84 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers and in accordance with its duty with Section 122 of the said Act.
The effect of the proposed Order will be to:
1. Amend the Cheshire East Borough Council (Various Roads) (Consolidation) Order 2022 by introducing the additional speed restrictions as outlined in Schedules 1 below and replacing Map Tile No’s. DH110, DG110, DG109 in the Consolidation Order schedules.
2. The restrictions imposed by this proposed Order shall be in addition to and not in derogation of any restrictions or requirements imposed by any regulations made or having effect as if made under the Act or by or under any other enactment.
SCHEDULE 1 – (20 MPH Zone)
West Street, Crewe – From a point 111m West of Monk Street to a point 23m east of Broad Street Including Hightown Junction.
Broad Street South, Crewe – From Hightown junction to a point in line with the boundary line of properties 43 and 45.
Underwood Lane, Crewe – From its junction with West Street to 10m north of its junction with West Street.
Oxford Street, Crewe – From its junction with West Street to 10m north of its junction with West Street.
Derby Street, Crewe – From its junction with West Street to 15m north of its junction with West Street.
Goddard Street, Crewe – From its junction with West Street to 10m south of its junction with West Street.
Grosvenor Street, Crewe – From its junction with West Street to 10 m north of its junction with West Street.
Bright Street, Crewe – From its junction with West Street to 10m south of its junction with West Street.
Richard Street, Crewe – From its junction with West Street to 10m south of its junction with West Street.
West Avenue, Crewe – From its junction with West Street to 10m south of its junction with West Street.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF PEDESTRIANS
Public Footpath No. 35 And No. 36 (Part) Town of Sandbach
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (2) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that the Cheshire East Borough Council has made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following:
That length of Public Footpath No. 35 in the Town of Sandbach which commences at SJ 7384 6198 and runs in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 52 metres to SJ 7388 6195.
That length of Public Footpath No. 36 in the Town of Sandbach which commences at SJ 7388 6195 and runs in a generally south easterly then easterly direction for approximately 47 metres to SJ 7392 6193
The closure is necessary to protect the public from danger while the railway bridge is replaced.
The Order will come into force on 23 October 2023 and will continue in force for a period of six months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
An alternative route is available via the highway network.
