What is happening?

Notice of Making
(OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES (CONSOLIDATED) ORDER 2015) (VARIATION NUMBER 9) ORDER 2023
Notice is hereby given that on 19/10/2023, Cheshire East Borough Council made an Order under Sections 32 and 35 and Parts I to III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, (“the 1984 Act”) and all other enabling powers and in accordance with its duty under Section 122 of the 1984 Act.
1. The effect of the Order, which will come into operation on 1/11/23, will be to:
i) Vary the Off-Street Parking Places Consolidated Order 2015
Poynton Civic Hall car park’, removing 150 parking spaces allowing for management and maintenance to include time limited parking (but not for the sole benefit of Waitrose customers).
A copy of the Order; a map showing the area; a statement of reasons for making the Order, a copy of this public notice and a copy of the public notice of the proposal to make the order are available to view at: Parking reviews and public consultations (cheshireeast.gov.uk) or, if you do not have access to the internet, please contact 0300 123 5020 for further details or to request paper copies.
Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or any requirement of the Act or an instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
