NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that the Nottinghamshire
County Council intends not
less than seven days from the
date of this Notice to make an
Order, under Section 14(1) of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984, as amended, in respect
of roads at Burton Joyce in the
Borough of Gedling.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited
from proceeding in the
following lengths of road as
listed in paragraph 3.
2. Vehicles are prohibited
from waiting, loading and
unloading (both sides, 20:00-
06:00) in the following lengths
of road as listed in paragraph 3.

a. A612 Nottingham Road
- from its junction with A6211
Colliery Way to its junction with
Lambley Lane
b. Main Street - from its
junction with A612 Nottingham
Road in a northerly direction to
its junction with Lambley Lane
c. Station Road - from its
junction with A612 Nottingham
Road to its junction with St
Helen's Grove
d. St Helen's Grove - from its
junction with A612 Nottingham
Road in a southerly direction for
10 metres
e. Mill Field Close - from its
junction with A612 Nottingham
Road in a southerly direction for
10 metres
f. Maris Drive - from its junction
with A612 Nottingham Road
in a northerly direction for 10
metres
g. Cragmoor Road - from its
junction with A612 Nottingham
Road in a northerly direction for
10 metres
h. Crow Park Drive - from its
junction with A612 Nottingham
Road in a northerly direction for
10 metres
i. Massey Close - from its
junction with A612 Nottingham
Road in a northerly direction for
10 metres
4. All existing permanent
restrictions will be temporarily
suspended as required.
5. The restrictions specified
above shall only be in effect
when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the
prohibitions respecting the
above road or roads will apply
as follows:
From 20:00 hours on Monday
6th November 2023
Until 06:00 hours on Monday
20th November 2023
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY
FURTHER GIVEN that during
the period of restriction the
alternative route available
will be:
A612 Colwick Loop Road -
A6211 Colliery Way - B684
Mapperley Plains - B684
Woodborough Lane - B684
Lime Lane (Arnold) - A614
Ollerton Road - B6386 Oxton
Road - A6097 Oxton Bypass
- A6097 Epperstone Bypass
- A612 Nottingham Road
(Lowdham) - A612 Nottingham
Road (Bulcote) - A612 Church
Road (Burton Joyce) and vice
versa.
The Order will come into force
on 6th November 2023 and
any prohibition in it shall apply
on that day and any subsequent
day when necessary to enable
works to be carried out. The
Order shall continue in force
until the works are completed
(within a maximum period of 18
months).
The prohibition is required
to enable Via East Midlands
on behalf of Nottinghamshire
County Council to carry out
carriageway resurfacing works.
