Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AREA
A26 Tonbridge Road, Maidstone ME16 8SL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow remedial repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of A26 Tonbridge Road, Maidstone, on or after 18th November 2023 for up to 2 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Bower Street and Hambledon Court, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via A26 Tonbridge Road, Terrace Road, A20 London Road and Queens Road.
B2162 Hampstead Lane, Nettlestead ME18 5HL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of B2162 Hampstead Lane, Nettlestead, on or after 13th November 2023 for up to 12 days between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the vicinity of Yalding Station to the junction with Maidstone Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2162 Hampstead Lane, A228 Hale Street Bypass, A228 Branbridges Road, Beltring Road, Gravelly Ways, Lees Road, B2162 Hampstead Road and vice versa.
Bottlescrew Hill, Boughton Monchelsea. ME17 4GW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow replacement pole works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bottlescrew Hill, Boughton Monchelsea, on or after 2nd November 2023, for up to one day, between the hours of 08.30 and 16.30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Rock House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Boughton Lane, A229 Loose Road, A229 Linton Road, B2162 Heath Road, Church Street, The Green, Beresfords Hill and vice versa.
Chart Road, Chart Sutton ME17 3RF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Chart Road, Chart Sutton, on or after 16th November 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the general vicinity of Keays Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Chart Road, Church Road, Warmlake Road, Chart Hill Road and vice versa.
Goudhurst Road, Staplehurst (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Goudhurst Road, Staplehurst, on or after 30th October 2023 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the general vicinity of Oast End, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Folly Hill, Colliers Green Road, Marden Road, Goudhurst Road, Wilsley Pound, The Common, Common Road, Camden Hill, Rocks Hill, Knoxbridge, Cranbrook Road, Pinnock Lane and vice versa.
High Banks & Old Loose Hill, Loose ME15 0EH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023
To allow connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of High Banks and Old Loose Hill, Loose, on or after 30th October 2023 for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 or until the works have been completed.
High Banks and Old Loose Hill will be closed at the junctions where they meet and between Malthouse Hill and Church Street , To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via High Banks, Church Street, Old Loose Hill, A229 Loose Road, A229 Linton Road, Old Loose Hill and vice versa.
Milton Street, Maidstone. ME16 8JU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & TEMPORARY ONE-WAY SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on Milton Street, Maidstone, on or after 3rd November 2023, for up to 11 days, between the hours of 09.30 and 16.30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed for the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The junctions of the following roads will also be closed:-
Whitmore Street, Dover Street, Bazalgette Rise and Pope Street.
The One-Way Order will be suspended on the following roads:-
Whitmore Street, Charlton Street, Dover Street, Pope Street, Bazalgette Rise and Milton Street for the duration of the works.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A26 Tonbridge Road, Fant Lane, Hackney Road and vice versa.
Roseacre Lane & Plantation Lane, Bearsted ME14 4JH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow gas main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Roseacre Lane and Plantation Lane, Bearsted, on or after 30th October 2023 for up to 26 days or until the works have been completed.
Roseacre Lane will be closed from the junction with Claredon Close to outside number 15, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Hog Hill, Ware Street, Yeoman Lane & Ashford Road or Ashford Road and The Landway.
Plantation Lane will be closed from the junction with Roseacre Lane to outside number 38, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via The Landway, Ashford Road & Yeoman Lane or The Landway, Hog Hill, Ware Street and Yeoman Lane.
Sockett Lane, Maidstone ME15 6FU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow electrical connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Stockett Lane, Tovil, on or after 13th November 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Cave Hill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Cave Hill, Hayle Mill Road, Bockingford Lane, Stockett Lane and vice versa.
The Street, Detling ME14 3JU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023
To allow connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of The Street, Detling, on or after 13th November 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the general vicinity of number 7, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via The Street, Pilgrims Way, Thurnham Lane, Ware Street, Hockers Lane and vice versa.
Upper Barn Hill, Hunton ME15 0QJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Upper Barn Hill, Hunton, on or after 31st October 2023 for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with North Folly Road and Hilltop, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Upper Barn Hill, Heath Road, North Folly Road, Foremans Barn Road and vice versa.
Weavering Street, Maidstone. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Weavering Street, Maidstone, on or after 30th October 2023, for up to 7 days, between the hours of 08.00 and 16.00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of “Anacapri”, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Weavering Street, Grovewood Drive North, New Cut Road, Grovewood Drive South, Weavering Street and vice versa.
