Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
GRAVESHAM AREA
A227 Wrotham Road, Gravesend. DA11 7LB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A227 Wrotham Road, Gravesend, from 22.30hrs on 31st October 2023 to 06.00hrs on 1st November 2023 or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Cross Lane West.
The alternative route is via A227 Wrotham Road, Cross Lane West, Singlewell Road, B261 Old Road West and vice versa.
A227 Wrotham Road, Gravesend. DA11 7GJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow carriageway works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A227 Wrotham Road, Gravesend, on or after 31st October 2023 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of B261 Old Road West and New House Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Coldharbour Road, Earl Road, Perry Street, Pelham Road South, B261 Old Road West and vice versa.
Ascot Road & Central Avenue, Gravesend. DA12 5AG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
Because of the construction of new care home, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ascot Road, Gravesend, on or after 30th October 2023 for up to 17 months or until the works have been completed. Parking will be prohibited between Ascot Road and number 75.
The road will be closed between Central Avenue and Aintree Close.
The alternative route is via Central Avenue, Lingfield Road, Singlewell Road, Ascot Road and vice versa.
Green Farm Lane, Shorne, DA12 3HP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Green Farm Lane, Shorne, on or after 13th November 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Tanglewood.
The alternative route is via Green Farm Lane, A226 Gravesend Road, Forge Lane, School Lane, Chalk Road, Lower Road and vice versa.
Ordnance Road, Gravesend. DA12 1EE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ordnance Road, Gravesend, from 19:00hrs on 2nd November 2023 to 05:00hrs on 3rd November 2023 or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Park Place.
The alternative route is via:
From the junction of the A226 Milton Road will be via the A226 Milton Road, Prospect Grove, St Johns Road, Norfolk Road and Albion Terrace.
From the junction of Albion Terrace will be via Albion Terrace, Albion Road and the A226 Milton Road.
VARIOUS ROADS, GRAVESHAM (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
Because of gas mains replacement by SGN, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic as per the below.
