Dartford, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

DARTFORD AREA

A226 Lowfield Street & A226 Instone Road, DA1 1HJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

Because of carriageway resurfacing, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A226 Lowfield Street and A226 Instone Road, Dartford, on or after 13th November 2023 for up to 6 nights or until the works have been completed. The roads will be closed between 20.00hrs and 05.00hrs.

A226 Lowfield Street will be closed between Market Street Heath Street and A226 Instone Road from A226 Lowfield Street to just past Horsemans Place (LIDL Entrance).

The alternative route is via A226 Lowfield Street is via Home Gardens, Westgate Road, A226 Highfield Road North/West Hill, A2018 Shepherds Lane, B2174 Princes Road, A226 Lowfield Street. The alternative route for A226 Instone Road is via A226 Lowfield Street, Heath Street and Highfield Road.

 

Gildenhill Road, Sutton At Hone, BR8 7PE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Gildenhill Road, Sutton At Hone, on or after 14th November 2023 for up to 2 days between 08.00hrs and 16.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed adjacent to Delhay Farm.

The alternative route is via Gildenhill Road, Church Road, Wood Street, Swanley Village Road, Highlands Hill, B258 Main Road, Home Hill, Lower Road, Clement Street and vice versa.

 

Instone Road - Service access to Green Court, Dartford.​ DA1 1HJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPEND ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

Because of the installation of new water and foul water connections, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Instone Road - Service access to Green Court, Dartford, on or after 28th October 2023 for up to 15 days or until the works have been completed. The one-way will be suspended to allow access.

The road will be closed outside Green Court.

The alternative route is via the access road.

 

Knockhall Road, Greenhithe. DA9 9EW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Knockhall Road, Greenhithe, on or after 17th November 2023 for up to 36 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Lane Avenue and Knockhall Chase. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Knockhall Road, Mounts Road, A226 London Road and vice versa.

 

Lane Avenue & Austen Close, Greenhithe. DA9 9HA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lane Avenue & Austen Close, Greenhithe, on or after 13th November 2023 for up to 40 days or until the works have been completed.

Lane Avenue will be closed at the junction with Knockhall Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
