GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

URGENT CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH CCA 28 (CAM PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order, to temporarily close, under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), Public Footpath CCA 28, Cam from next to the electricity substation and then extending in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 385 metres to its junction with the old railway line.

The path falls within the Parish of Cam in the Stroud District, Gloucestershire.

The closure is necessary to protect the public whilst construction works take place.

The said Public Footpath was originally closed by Urgent Notice commencing 6th October 2023. However, as the works to remedy the problem have not been completed it is necessary to close the Public Footpath by an Order.

The Order will come into force commencing 11th October 2023 and is expected to remain closed until 11th April 2024. After this date, if the closure is still required, it will be necessary to apply to the Secretary of State for an extension of time.

The alternative route: as shown on the Order Plan. Pedestrian access to adjacent properties and emergency access will be maintained at all times.

DATE: 11th October 2023.
