Castle Hill - Temporary Prohibition of Driving to Maintenance Works and Woks to Remove Vegetation
What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (CASTLE HILL, BREDBURY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) NOTICE 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which is to introduce a Temporary Prohibition of Driving at Castle Hill at the entrance to Allied Bakeries to the junction of Battle Lane whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said roads.
This Order is necessary due to maintenance works and woks to remove vegetation. It is anticipated that the maximum duration of the works will be 1 day. Alternative routes will be provided via Battle Lane, Far Cromwell Road, Cromwell Road, Ashton Road, Castle Hill and vice versa.
This Order came into operation on the 19 October 2023 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Ref: ZLA/3139
