What is happening?

SANDWELL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL 

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Trinity Street and Haden Road, Cradley Heath) (Temporary Road Closures) Order 2023 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Trinity Street, Cradley Heath from the junction of Halesowen Road to the junction of Haden Road (western side) and Haden Road at the junction of Trinity Street (access to frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits). A traffic diversion route will be signed via Mace Street, Halesowen Road (northbound), Reddal Hill Road, Claremont Road and Lawrence Lane. A further traffic diversion route will be signed via Halesowen Road (southbound) and Mace Street. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 03/11/2023 effective from 30/10/2023 (24hr). Purpose – to facilitate access to lay new gas services to 6 residential properties by Cadent Gas Ltd.

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Axletree Way, Wednesbury) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2023 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Axletree Way, Wednesbury which will be closed from the roundabout near to the access for the LIDL storage depot and the western side of the railway bridge structure (access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits). A traffic diversion route will not be required (no through road). The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 01/11/2023 effective from 31/10/2023 (10pm-6am). Purpose – to facilitate access to complete an inspection of the railway bridge structure by Network Rail.
