Shropshire - Temporary Road Traffic Restrictions To Allow Necessary Works To Be Undertaken

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER/S
PUBLIC NOTICES OF MAKING

NOTICE is hereby given that Shropshire Council (The Council) have made an Order/s under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which is to restrict the use of roadsas stated below. The Order/s for regulation is/are required for the purpose/s as stated below. There are exemptions in the Order/s to permit pedestrian access (and/ or vehicular access at the discretion of the Council or Statutory Undertaker) to any land or premises having a frontage to the said highway affected where there is no other form of access, and to any access allowing the necessary works to be undertaken. Access will be maintained for cyclists, pedestrians and dismounted horse riders unless stated below. The alternative route/s for those affected by the proposal/s is/are as stated below.

The Order/s came into force on 30th October 2023 and will remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months (unless extended upon the direction of the Secretary of State) or
until any said works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is expected that the Order/s will only be operative for the duration as stated below.

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Black Park Road,Whitchurch
 Date & Duration: 30th October 2023 between 09:30 to 15:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Detailed structural examination
Alternative Route: Black Park Road, Unnamed road North West, Ossmere Lane, Mile Bank Road, B5395

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Madeley Road, Beckbury
Date & Duration: 30th October 2023 for 15 days
Purpose: Sewer collapse
Alternative Route: Madeley Road, B4379, Unnamed road East through Ryton, Caynton Road

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Farm Lane, All Stretton
Date & Duration: 31st October 2023 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach-Road closure required to Repairdefect in carriageway
 Alternative Route: Farm Lane, Starr Lane, Shrewsbury Road

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Folley Road, Ackleton
Date & Duration: 5th November 2023 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water-* Defect CLO - Remedial Rein by CLO -

Description of restriction: raffic will be prohibited from using Hazles road, Shawbury
Date & Duration: 30th October 2023 for 3 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Washout Rebuild Chamber

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Julian Road, Ludlow
Date & Duration: 1st November 2023 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water- Defect CLO - Remedial Reinstatement
Alternative Route: Gravel Hill, Henley Road, Sandpits Road

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road at Leaton Hall Level Crossing, Leaton
Date & Duration: 1st November 2023 from 22:00 to 04:00 2nd November 2023
Purpose: Road Closure - Network Rail, signal and telecoms maintenance.
Alternative Route: Shrewsbury Road, Baschurch road, B5067, Unnamed road East

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Mile Bank Road to Cheshire County Boundary, Whitchurch
Date & Duration: 1st November 2023 for 3 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Repair further blockages on existing network
Alternative Route: Hollins Lane, School Lane, Gauntons Bank, Common Lane, Bickley Lane, A49, B5467, London road, Alport road, Mile Bank road

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Mousecroft Lane, Shrewsbury
Date & Duration: 30th October 2023 for 3 days
Purpose: Road Closure - BT, works to clear blockages in carriageway.
Alternative Route: Nobold Lane, Hanwood Road, Bank Farm Road, Longden Road

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using A458 between Much Wenlock to Muckley Cross
Date & Duration: 30th October 2023 for 5 nights between 20:00 to 06:00
Purpose: RNI Multevo Works

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Oteley Road, Shrewsbury
Date & Duration: 2nd November 2023 from 22:00 to 05:00 3rd November 2023
Purpose: Road Closure to enable lining on the junction of Oteley Road and Thrower Road.
Alternative Route: B4380, A458, A5, B4380

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Shrewsbury Road, Longden
Date & Duration: 30th October 2023 for 3 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Renew all lining
Alternative Route: Longden road, B4380, A5112, A49, A489, Unnamed road North East through Pulverbatch and Church Pulverbatch

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Waterloo Lane and
B4368 High Street, Clun
Date & Duration: 30th October 2023 for 26 days
Purpose: Capital drainage scheme.
Alternative Route: Unnamed road South West, Vicarage road, Church road,
High Street. For B4368 ; B4368, B4385, A488.

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4397 Church Street,
Ryton XI Towns
Date & Duration: 2nd November 2023 for 1 day between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Renew road markings following capital resurfacing scheme.
Alternative Route: B4397, A528, A495, B5009, A5, B4397

Date & Duration: 30th October 2023 for 71 days
Purpose: Emergency road closure due to damaged bridge parapet

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Bagley and Weston Lullingfields
Date & Duration: 30th October 2023 for 3 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Short Comm pipe Cut Off 25mm

Description of restriction: Traffic will be restricted to access only on Unnamed road
between Wem and Lee Brockhurst via Aston
Date & Duration: 30th October 2023 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure - New Water Connection

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Main Road, Pontesbury
Date & Duration: 2nd November 2023 from 20:00 to Midnight
Purpose: One Way Closure - Severn Trent Water, manhole.
Alternative Route: A488, Unnamed road North West through Lea, B4386,B4499

 
Description of restriction: The Weight restriction on the B5070 Chirk road, Chirk will be suspended as directed by signage on site
Date & Duration: 31st October 2023 for 1 night between 20:00 to 06:00 1st November 2023
Purpose: Diversion for NMWTRA, Suspension of Weight restriction and lights on Chirk Bridge.
Alternative Route: Not applicable
