Victoria Road & Meadow Road - Road Closure to Enable Works to Be Carried Out

ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that the Nottinghamshire
County Council has made an
Order, under Section 14(1) of
the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984, as amended, in
respect of roads at Netherfield
in the Borough of Gedling.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited
from proceeding in the
following lengths of road:
a) Victoria Road - between
its junctions with Forester
Street and Wright Street
b) Meadow Road - from its
junction with Victoria Road to
its junction with Moor Street
2. Vehicles are prohibited
from waiting, loading &
unloading in the following
lengths of road:
a) Victoria Road (both
sides, at all times) - between
its junctions with Forester
Street and Wright Street
b) Meadow Road (both
sides, at all times) - from its
junction with Victoria Road to
its junction with Moor Street
3. Traffic will be permitted
to proceed in both directions
by suspension of the
one-way order as required
during the works to enable
access and egress, in the
following length of road:
Victoria Road
- between Forester Street
and Meadow Road
4. All existing permanent
restrictions will be temporarily
suspended as required.
5. The restrictions specified
above shall only be in effect
when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the
prohibitions respecting
the above road or roads
will apply as follows:
From 08.00 hours on Monday
23rd October 2023
Until 17.00 Hours on Sunday
5th November 2023
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY
FURTHER GIVEN that during
the period of restriction the
alternative routes available
will be:
Victoria Road via - Manor
Road - B686 Burton
Road - B686 Colwick Loop
Road - A612 Colwick Loop
Road and vice versa
Meadow Road via - Meadow
Road - Chaworth Road - Road
No 1 - A612 Colwick Colwick
Loop Road - B686 Colwick
Lop Road - B686 Burton Road
- Manor Road and vice versa
The Order will come into
force on 23rd October 2023
and any prohibition in it
shall apply on that day and
any subsequent day when
necessary to enable works
to be carried out. The Order
shall continue in force until the
works are completed (within a
maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to
enable Cadent Gas to carry
out gas replacement works.
