What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM (MOVERS

LANE, BARKING) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

NOTICE OF MAKING

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to manhole cover replacement works, the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham has made a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The order will come in to effect on Thursday 9 November 2023 with works expected for:

* Manhole cover replacement works to take 2 days to complete. Completion date estimated as Friday 10 November 2023 with the work expected to be undertaken between 10.00pm on Thursday 9 November 2023 and 2.00am on Friday 10 November 2023.

However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be re-introduced should further works be required.

3. When the works are taking place and the appropriate traffic signs are being displayed the Order will temporarily: -

* Prohibit all vehicular traffic in Movers Lane, north-westbound carriageway, from its junction with Alfred's Way (A13) for a distance of 53.7 metres in a north-westerly direction.

? Prohibit all vehicular traffic in Alfred's Way (A13), eastbound carriageway, from its junction with the centre line of Movers Lane for a distance of 11.7 metres in a westerly direction.

* Prohibit all vehicular traffic in River Road, north-westbound carriageway western lane, from a point 12 metres north of its junction with Waverly Gardens for a distance of 39 metres in a northerly direction.

* Prohibit all vehicular traffic in River Road, north-westbound carriageway ahead only lanes, from their junction with Alfred's Way (A13) for a distance of 66.5 metres in a southerly direction.

* Prohibit all vehicular traffic from turning left from Alfred's Way (A13) into Movers Lane.

4. For each stage of the works, alternative routes for vehicular traffic will be maintained;

* Alfred's Way (A13) and Ripple Road (A123).
