Fountain Lane - Temporary One-Way Road Closure
What is happening?
The Borough Council of Sandwell (Fountain Lane, Oldbury) (Temporary One-Way Road Closure) Order 2023 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Fountain Lane, Oldbury in awesterly direction from the junction of Bromford Road to the gable end of property No.51 (access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits). A traffic diversion route in a north-easterly direction will be signed via Oldbury Ringway and West Bromwich Street. A further traffic diversion route in a south-westerly direction will be signed via Brandon Way, Albion Road and West Bromwich Street.
The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 07/11/2023 effective from 25/10/2023 (24hr). Purpose – to facilitate access to lay approximately 200m of service duct in footway to the new Lovell Homes Development by Comex 2000 on behalf of Virgin Media.
