Various Roads in the Borough of Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.6) 2023

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out surface dressing and pre-patching works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible during the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 6 November 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access to premises within the affected length of roads, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

1. C20 The Street, Puttenham – that length which extends between its junction with Puttenham Hill and its junction with Seale Lane. 2. A324 Aldershot Road, Pirbright and A324 Pirbright Road, Normandy – that length which extends between its junction with B2032 Guildford Road and its junction with Henley Park Pirbright Road. 3. C43 Beech Avenue and C43 Critten Lane, Effingham – that length which extends between the junction with A246 Guildford Road and the junction with Crocknorth Road. Alternative Route – C43 Critten Lane, C44 Ranmore Common Road, C44 Ranmore Road, C44 Ashcombe Road, A2003 Ashcombe Road, A24 London Road, A24 Mickleham By Pass, A24 Dorking Road, A246 Young Street, A246 Leatherhead Road and A246 Guildford Road.
4. B3411 Vale Road, Ash Vale – that length which extends between its junction with D853 Station Approach and its junction with D75 Lakeside Road. Alternative Route – B3166 Lysons Avenue, B3166 Lynchford Road, A331 Blackwater Valley Route, A323 Aldershot Road and B2306 Shawfield Road;
5. A248 The Street and A248 Chilworth Road, Albury – that length which extends from the junction with New Road to the junction with Mill Lane. 7. A320 Woking Road, Guildford – that length which extends from its roundabout junction with A3 Guildford – Godalming By-Pass to its junction with Jacobs Well Road. Alternative Route – A320 Woking Road, A320 Guildford Road, B380 Smarts Heath Road, B380 Berry Lane, A322 Bagshot Road, A322 Rickford, A322 Worplesdon Road, A322 Aldershot Road, Dennis roundabout, A25 Midleton Road, A25 Woodbridge Road and A25 Ladymead;
8. B2234 Park Lane, Merrow – that length which extends from its junction with Kingfisher Drive to its junction with Epsom Road. Alternative Route – B2234 Park Lane, B2234 New Inn Lane, A3100 London Road, A25 Boxgrove Road, Guildford and A25 Epsom Road;
9. C24 Suffield Lane, Puttenham – that length which extends from its junction with The Street to its junction with Littleworth Road. Alternative Route – C20 Seale Road, C21 Elstead Road and C23 Littleworth Road.
