THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL

Proposed Traffic Calming Measures in Ottways Lane (D2575) and Grange Road (D2575) Ashtead

Surrey County Council in exercise of their powers under Section 90(A) to (I) inclusive of the Highways Act 1980 propose to introduce a series of physical measures to improve safety and reduce vehicle speeds in Ottways Lane (D2575) and Grange Road (D2575), Ashtead, as follows. 

Road Tables in the following locations in Grange Road, which extend across the full width of the road:-
1. 32.5m north of the northern kerb line of Grange Mount; 2. 13.5m south of the southern kerb line of Grange Mount; 3. 14m north of the northern kerb line of Grange Close; 4. 15m north of the northern kerb line of Blades Close; 5. 42m south of the southern kerb line of Blades Close; Road Tables in the following locations in Ottways Lane:- 6. 11.4m west of the common property boundary of Nos. 88 and 86 Ottways Lane, (tapered edge), with a width of 5.75m and 0.225m side ramp (1:3 gradient); 7. 11.6m east of the common property boundary of Nos. 70 and 72 Ottways Lane, extending across the full width of the road; 8. 10m east of the common property boundary of Nos. 68a and 68 Ottways Lane (tapered edge) with a width of 5.2m and 0.225m side ramp (1:3 gradient); All tables will have a flat top length of 4m and ramp length of 1.2m (gradient of 1:16) and will rise to a height of 75mm, with locations measured from the centre line of the table. 9. A single speed cushion in Ottways Lane 12m west of the common property boundary of Nos. 65 and 63 Ottways Lane, measured from the centre line. The cushion will be 75mm high measuring 3m x 2m with a 0.6m ramp (1:8 gradient) and 0.3m side ramp (1:4 gradient).

If you wish to object to, or make representations about, the proposal you must send them in writing, stating the grounds on which they are made, (1) using the online form via the webpage quoted above; or (2) to the undersigned, at Traffic Regulation Orders Team, Hazel House, Merrow Lane, Guildford, Surrey, GU4 7BQ, by 16 November 2023.
