C161 Beacon Lane - Road Traffic Regulation to Allow Telegraph Pole Replacement Works
What is happening?

(C161 BEACON LANE, DALTON, WEST LANCASHIRE BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of C161 Beacon Lane, Dalton from U647 Elmers Green Lane, Skelmersdale to the property Beacon Villa.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative daily between 0930 hours and 1500 hours from Wednesday 1st November 2023 until Tuesday 2nd November 2023 or until completion of the works within this period. Access for emergency services will be maintained whenever and wherever possible.
4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:- U3221 Beacon Lane, Newburgh - U3219 Whalleys Road, Skelmersdale - U622 Ashurst Road, Skelmersdale - A577 Stannanought Road, Skelmersdale - A577 Windmill Road, Up Holland - A577 Newgate Road, Up Holland - A577 Ormskirk Road, Up Holland - C161 Mill Lane, Up Holland - C161 Beacon Lane, Dalton and vice versa.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out by Dutton Traffic Management on behalf of BT.
