GORCHYMYN CEFNFFORDD YR A470 (TROETFFORDD TUA’R GOGLEDD YM METWS-Y-COED, BWRDEISTREF SIROL CONWY) (CAU DROS DRO) 202-

MAE GWEINIDOGION CYMRU yn bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn o dan adran 14 o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 ymhen dim llai na 7 niwrnod ar ôl dyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn. Mae angen y Gorchymyn arfaethedig er mwyn gwneud gwaith ar droetffordd cefnffordd tua’r gogledd yr A470, neu gerllaw iddi, ym Metws-y-coed, Bwrdeistref Sirol Conwy.

Effaith y Gorchymyn arfaethedig fydd cau dros dro darn cyfan o droetffordd tua’r gogledd yr A470 sy’n ymestyn o’r fynedfa ogleddol i gilfan Coed Hafod hyd at fynedfa cyfleuster Cyngor Astudiaethau Maes Rhyd-y-Creuau.

Y llwybr amgen ar gyfer cerddwyr sy’n mynd tua’r gogledd fydd croesi’r gerbytffordd ym mhen deheuol y darn o’r ffordd sydd ar gau mewn man priodol ger cilfan Coed Hafod a mynd drwy’r eiddo a elwir yn Zip World, cyn croesi yn ôl dros y gerbytffordd mewn man priodol ger Ffrith Rhedyn a Rhyd-y-Creuau ym mhen gogleddol y darn o’r ffordd sydd ar gau. I’r gwrthwyneb i gerddwyr sy’n mynd tua’r de.

Disgwylir y bydd y gwaharddiad dros dro, y codir arwyddion priodol yn ei gylch, yn dod i rym am 00:01 o’r gloch ar 6 Tachwedd 2023 ac yn parhau tan 23:59 o’r gloch ar 31 Ionawr 2024 neu hyd nes y caiff yr arwyddion cau dros dro eu symud ymaith yn barhaol.

Dim ond yn ystod y dyddiadau a bennir uchod y disgwylir i’r Gorchymyn fod yn weithredol. Er hynny, bydd yn parhau’n ddilys am gyfnod o 12 mis ar y mwyaf rhag ofn y bydd angen ailamserlennu’r gwaith neu wneud gwaith canlyniadol neu waith arall. Bydd hysbysiad ymlaen llaw am unrhyw newidiadau i’r amseroedd a’r dyddiadau yn cael ei arddangos cyn gwneud unrhyw waith a ailamserlennir.

THE A470 TRUNK ROAD (NORTHBOUND FOOTWAY AT BETWSY- COED, CONWY COUNTY BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 202-

THE WELSH MINISTERS propose, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which is necessary whilst works are undertaken on or near the A470 trunk road northbound footway at Betws-y-Coed, Conwy County Borough.

The effect of the proposed Order will be to temporarily close the entire length of the A470 northbound footway that extends from the northern entrance to the Coed Hafod layby to the entrance of the Rhyd-y-Creuau Field Studies Council facility.

The alternative route for northbound pedestrians will be to cross the carriageway at the southern end of the closure at an appropriate point near the Coed Hafod layby and proceed through the property known as Zip World, before crossing back over the carriageway at an appropriate point near Ffrith Rhedyn and Rhyd-y- Creuau at the northern end of the closure. Vice versa for southbound pedestrians.

The temporary prohibition, which will be signed accordingly, is expected to come into force at 00:01 hours on 6 November 2023 and remain until 23:59 hours on 31 January 2024 or until the temporary closure signs are permanently removed.

Although the proposed Order is only expected to operate during the dates specified above it will remain valid for a maximum period of 12 months as a contingency, should the work need to be rescheduled or consequential or other work is required. Advance notice of any changes to times and dates will be displayed before any rescheduled work.
