What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:


(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SHOOTERSWAY, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER NO.2 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of

Shootersway, Berkhamsted from its northernmost junction with Rossway Lane south eastwards to its junction with Cock Grove, a distance of approximately 1299m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via Rossway Lane and Cock Grove. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 2 November 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ST AGNELLS LANE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of St

Agnells Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its easternmost junction with Washington Avenue northwards and north westwards to its southernmost junction with The Dee, a distance of approximately 371m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Washington Avenue and St Agnells Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 20 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ANCHOR LANE,  HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Anchor Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Heath Lane south westwards to its junction with Hilmay Drive, a distance of approximately 157m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Heath Lane, St Johns Road, Beechfield Road and Anchor Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 21 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CHAULDEN LANE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Chaulden Lane, Hemel Hempstead from a point in line with the western boundary of No.132 Chaulden Lane south eastwards to a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.128 Chaulden Lane, a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Chaulden Lane, Pouchen End Lane, Berkhamsted Road, Boxted Road, Warners End Road, Northridge Way and Chaulden Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 25 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HIGH STREET, MARKYATE) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act

1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of High Street, Markyate from its junction with Wesley Road south eastwards to its junction with Albert Street, a distance of approximately 39m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via High Street, A5183 Dunstable Road, London Road and High Street.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 25 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GADDESDEN ROW, GREAT GADDESDEN/SOUTH DENE, 

GADDESDEN ROW) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Gaddesden Row, Great Gaddesden/South Dene, Gaddesden Row from its junction with Beechwood Lane north westwards to its junction with Clements End Road, a distance of approximately 665m (“the length of Roads”).

An alternative route will be via Gaddesden Row, Markyate Street Lane, Pickford Road, Cheverells Green, Pickford Road, High Street, Buckwood Road, Byslips Road and Clements End Road. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 23 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Chapel Road, Flamstead from its junction with High Street north westwards to its junction with Friendless Lane, a distance of approximately 107m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via High Street, Singlets Lane, Chequers Hill, A5183 London Road, Hollybush Lane and Chapel Road. The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing gas main is proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 23 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN THREE CHERRY TREES LANE,

HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER NO.2 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Three

Cherry Trees Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Finway

Road north westwards to its junction with the B487 Redbourn Road/ Shenley Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 215m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Three Cherry Trees Lane, Swallowdale Lane, A4147 (Swallowdale Lane/Redbourn Road) and B487 Redbourn Road.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 23 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF TROOPER ROAD, ALDBURY) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Trooper Road, Aldbury from its junction with New Ground Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 138m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via New Ground Road, Beggars Lane, Station Road and Trooper Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 25 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A416 KINGS ROAD, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER NO.2 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A416 Kings Road, Berkhamsted from a point in line with the north east boundary of No.67 Kings Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via A416 Kings Road, A4251 (High

Street/London Road), A41 (unnamed road) and A416 (Chesham

Road/Kingshill Way/Kings Road) or via A416 (Kings Road/Kingshill Way), A41 (unnamed road), A4251 (London Road/High Street) and A416 Kings Road.

The Order is needed because electrical repair works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 23 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF MORTIMER HILL, TRING) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Mortimer Hill, Tring from its junction with Sycamore Drive north eastwards to its junction with Harcourt Road, a distance of approximately 192m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Sycamore Drive and Harcourt Road. The Order is needed because carriageway reinstatement works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 23 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
