The Isle of Wight Council's Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: -

The Isle of Wight Council (Castlehaven Lane, Niton, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2023

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Wednesday 25 October 2023 until 1600 hours on Tuesday 31 October 2023, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Castlehaven Lane, for its entire length. There is no alternative route. The closure is required for safety during utility works.

The Isle of Wight Council (Long Lane, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 4 2023

The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Yarmouth, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic and Reversal of Oneway Restriction) Order No 3 2023

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 1900 hours and 2300 hours, each night, between Monday 23 October 2023 and Wednesday 25 October 2023, or when the works has been completed,

a) no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along St James Street, for its entire length;

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 20 October 2023 and Friday 1 December 2023 the following roads will be closed for both day and night for approximately one to 15 days during this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable the next planned programme of carriageway maintenance works to be completed. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, maintenance, rectification, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and advanced warning signs before the scheme commences:

- The Mall will be closed between its junctions with Homsey Rise and Bullys Hill. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

- a 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction will be introduced along Jellicoe Road, on both sides, for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Froglands Lane, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 5 2023

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Thursday 19 October 2023 and Friday 20 October 2023, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Froglands Lane for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repair works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 13 October 2023 and Friday 24 November 2023 the following roads will be closed between 0600 - 1800 hours for approximately 1- 5 days during this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable the next planned programme of carriage maintenance works and any required pre works to be completed. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, maintenance, rectification, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and advanced warning signs before the scheme commences:
