What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)(a)
THE A14 TRUNK ROAD (JUNCTION 24A CAMBRIDGE SERVICES, BOXWORTH, CAMBRIDGESHIRE) WESTBOUND EXIT SLIP ROAD (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited(a) has made an Order on the A14 Trunk Road in the County of Cambridgeshire to enable nearby local authority resurfacing works to be carried out in safety.

The works are expected to take place over 5 nights (8pm – 5am), starting on, or after Monday 30 October 2023.

The effect of the Order will be to close the A14 J24a westbound exit slip road leading to Cambridge Services at Boxworth.

Traffic will be diverted to continue westbound to leave the A14 at the exit slip road for J24 Swavesey, then via Huntingdon Road roundabout and local access road back to Cambridge Services.

The closure (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles) and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

The Order will come into force on 23 October 2023 and may continue in force until the works detailed above have been completed, or for a maximum duration of eighteen months, whichever is the earlier.
