What is happening?
Temporary Road Closure – Newnham Lane, Old Basing, Basingstoke
Notice Is Hereby Given that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order (Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 S.14) to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
Road To Be Closed: that part of Newnham Lane between its junction with Pyotts Hill and a point approximately 165 Metres North-East.
Alternative Route: Poors Farm Road, Ashmoor Lane, A30, Hatch Lane, Crown Lane, The Street
Duration Of Order: from 31st October 2023 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 day).
Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
