What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(GOOSE GREEN, HOCKLIFFE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Goose Green, Hockliffe outside Goose Lodge.
This temporary closure is required to enable fire hydrant repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 6 to 8 November 2023. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
There is no alternative route for this closure.
The Order will come into operation on 6 November 2023 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Nelson Road, Leighton Buzzard.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 6 to 8 November 2023 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period. The alternative route for this closure is via Churchill Road.
The Order will come into operation on 6 November 2023 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Billington Road, Leighton Buzzard outside number 1.
This temporary closure is required to enable manhole repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 7pm 6 November to 5am 7 November 2023. The road will be closed at all times during this period. The alternative route for this closure is via A4012, Chartmoor Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 6 November 2023 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(RICHMOND ROAD, LEIGHTON BUZZARD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the Richmond Road, Leighton Buzzard at its junction with Lywood Road.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 23 to 25 October 2023 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Richmond Road, Weston Avenue, Lywood Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 23 October 2023 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(VANDYKE ROAD, LEIGHTON BUZZARD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central
Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Vandyke Road, Leighton Buzzard outside the old DVLA building.
This temporary closure is required to enable foul and service water connections and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 23 to 27 October 2023. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via A4013, Briggington Way, Vandyke Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 23 October 2023 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

Notice of Confirmation of Public Path Order
Highways Act 1980 CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (LEIGHTON
BUZZARD: PART OF FOOTPATH NO.45) PUBLIC PATH CREATION ORDER 2023
On the 13 October 2023 Central Bedfordshire Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 26 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to create a public footpath running from an existing junction of Footpath No. 45 to Porus Piece as shown on the Order map.
The new length of Leighton Buzzard Footpath No. 45 to be created extends from its junction with an existing section of Footpath No 45, Leighton Buzzard at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference SP 9247 2336 in a northerly direction for approximately 89 metres to its junction with Porus Piece at OS GR SP 9248 2345.
The new length of footpath has a width of 3 metres from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) SP 9247 2336 to OS GR SP 9247 2337 and from OS GR SP 9248 2343 to OS GR SP 9248 2345. It has a width of 4 metres between OS GR SP 9247 2337 and OS GR SP 9248 2343.

The Order comes into force on 20 October 2023 but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 17 October 2023 make an application to the High Court.
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL PROPOSES TO INSTALL
RAISED TABLES ON EMU CLOSE AND THE STILE, HEATH AND REACH
Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 90 A-I of the Highways Act 1980 and all other enabling powers, propose to construct Raised Tables on Emu Close and The Stile, Heath and Reach. This proposal is intended to reduce traffic speeds and create a safer environment for all road users.
A Raised Table at a nominal height of 75mm and approximately 20 metres long, including ramps, extending across the full width of the road is proposed to be sited at the following locations in Heath and Reach:-
1. Emu Close, centered at a point approximately at the junction with Linslade Road.
2. The Stile, centered at a point approximately at the junction with Linslade Road.
