Kensington Church Street - Temporary Road Closures For Utility Works
What is happening?
THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES KENSINGTON CHURCH STREET
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has made an Order under The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Schedule 1 - Section 14 (1) (A) and all other enabling powers prohibiting vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below. Where necessary to maintain access for residents and occupiers one way or two-way traffic working may be imposed on affected roads.
ROAD CLOSED TO VEHICLES FOR UTILITY WORKS.
To be closed from 08.00hrs on Saturday 21st October 2023 until 18.00hrs on Wednesday 25th October 2023 until Sunday 28th November 2023, or until the works are completed.
Kensington Church Street to be closed from the junction of Kensington Mall to the Junction of Peel Street.
- Southbound diverted through traffic may use, Kensington Mall, Kensington Church Street, Notting Hill Gate, Holland Park Avenue, Holland Road, Addison Crescent, Addison Road, Kensington High Street, Kensington Church Street.
- Northbound diverted through traffic may use, Kensington High Street, Holland Road, Holland Park Avenue, Notting Hill Gate. Or Kensington High Street, Kensington Road, Knightsbridge, Hyde Park Gate, Park Lane, Hyde Park Place, Bayswater Road, Notting Hill Gate.
Peel Street to have a prohibited left-hand turn implemented for the duration of this road closure, Kensington Place and Edge Street to have a prohibited right-hand turn implemented for the duration of this road closure.
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency.
