What is happening?
The Hampshire (Elmleigh Road Area, Havant) (Prohibition And Restriction Of Waiting) Order 2023 Notice Is Hereby Given that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Order on Tuesday 10th October 2023, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act. General Nature And Effects Of The Order: Is to impose waiting restrictions in the Elmleigh Road area as specified in the schedules below: Schedule I – No Waiting at Any Time (i) Civic Centre Road, both sides - between a point 11.75 metres north-east of its junction with Elmleigh Road for its remaining length including the service road ‘loop’ leading to Havant Leisure Centre (excluding the layby adjacent to the Police Station. (ii) Elmleigh Road (service road), both sides - between a point 53 metres east of the projected south.eastern kerbline with Mavis Crescent and its eastern point of termination, including the entirety of the vehicle turning head. Schedule II – No Waiting Monday to Saturday (both days inclusive) 8.00am – 6.00pm (i) Elmleigh Road, south side – for its entire length (ii) Elmleigh Road, north side - between a point 18.25 metres south-east of its roundabout junction with Petersfield Road / Park Road South and a point 93.5 metres south-east of that point. (iii) Elmleigh Road, north side - between a point 98.75 metres south-east of its roundabout junction with Petersfield Road / Park Road South and a point 93.5 metres west of its junction with Leigh Road. (iv) Elmleigh Road, north side – between its junction with Leigh Road and a point 81.25 metres west thereof. (v) Elmleigh Road (service road, both sides - between a point contiguous with its north-western junction with Mavis Crescent and a point 53 metres east of the south-eastern kerbline of its south-eastern junction with Mavis Crescent. (vi) Elm Park Road, east side - between a point 6 metres north of its junction with Elmleigh Road and a point 77 metres north of that point. (vii) Elm Park Road, west side - between a point 6 metres north of its junction with Elmleigh Road and a point 134 metres north of that point. The Borough of Havant (Various Roads) Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting (Consolidation) Order 2005 will be part-revoked to the extent specified in this order Date Of Operation: The order will come into force on Monday 23rd October 2023.
