NOTICE OF VARIATION OF PARKING CHARGES
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTIONS 35C AND 46A

Notice is hereby given by the Council of the City of Sunderland that the charges for parking in the off-street and on-street parking places specified in Schedules 1 and 2, and Permit Fee’s as specified in Schedule 3 below will be varied as indicated from 2nd January 2024.Unless otherwise indicated, in Schedule 1 (Off-Street Parking Places) the current charges are given in column 4 and the new charges are given in column 5. Similarly, in Schedule 2 (On-Street Parking Places) the current charges are given in column 3 and the new charges are given in column 4.

THE CITY OF SUNDERLAND (PARKING PLACES) TRAFFIC ORDER 20--
NOTICE is also given that Sunderland City Council propose to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 33, 35 – 35C, 99-102 and 122 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, by virtue of the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act. The effect of the proposed order will be to: (i) introduce or amend the paid for parking places on those on-street parking places on those streets listed in Schedule 1; (ii) revoke and amend to the extent stated those orders in Schedule 2; (iii) amend the hours and days of operation of the paid for parking places on those off- street parking places in St Mary’s Car Park.
Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order may be inspected during normal opening hours at City Hall, Plater Way, Sunderland SR1 3AA, until six weeks have elapsed from the date on which the Order is made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to proceed to make the Order.
