THE SOUTHEND-ON-SEA CITY COUNCIL (WAITING, LOADING, STOPPING AND PARKING PLACES) (MAP BASED) (ZONE SH & DANE STREET) AMENDMENT NO.*** ORDER 2023
Southend-on-Sea City Council (hereinafter referred to as "the Council") in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, and 122 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) ("the 1984 Act") and the Traffic Management Act 2004 ("the 2004 Act") and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby gives notice that it intends to make the following amendment order:
The Southend-on-Sea City Council (Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Parking Places) (Map Based) (Zone SH & Dane Street) Amendment No. *** Order 2023
The effect of the order will be to amend the current order The Southend Borough Council (Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Parking Places) (Map Based) (Consolidation) Order 2021 by introducing, revoking and replacing the following in the existing Resident Permit Parking Scheme (Zone SH):
a) To re-introduce the Resident Permit Parking Scheme (Zone SH) into Dane Street:
Resident Permit Holder Parking PlacesDane Street West Side Between a point 10 metres north of its junction with Rampart Street and a point 42 metres south of its junction with George Street Dane Street West Side Between a point 27 metres south of its junction with George Street and a point 10 metres south of this junction Dane Street East Side Between a point 29 metres north east of its junction with Rampart Street and a point 15.5 metres north east of this junction Dane Street East Side Between a point 29 metres north east of its junction with Rampart Street and a point approximately 35 metres north east of this junction Dane Street East Side Between a point 3 metres south east of its junction with George Street and a point 10 metres south east of this junction
b) To revoke and replace the Residents Permit Parking (Zone SH) Hours of Operation with the following:
Parking Places Resident, Visitor, & Carer Permit Parking Places
Existing Days of Operation Monday to Friday inclusive, any such day not being Christmas Day or Good Friday
Proposed Days of Operation Monday to Sunday inclusive, any such day not being Christmas Day or Good Friday
Existing Hours of Operation 10.00am to 2.00pm
Proposed Hours of Operation 9.00am to 9.00pm
Copies of the proposed Order, the Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order and plans showing the proposals, along with a copy of the 2021 Consolidation Order can be inspected during normal office hours on Monday to Fridays inclusive at the Civic Centre, Victoria Avenue, Southend-on-Sea SS2 6ER, or, online via our Map Based Traffic Order software TraffWeb App or on the Councils website.
Persons desiring to make representation can do so by: making a comment on the TraffWeb system under 'Public Consultation' using the following link, https://southend.traffweb.app/traffweb/2/PublicConsultation, or by emailing traffweb@southend.gov.uk, or stating the grounds thereof in writing addressed to the Traffic Regulation Order Team to the address stated above, to arrive by 1st November 2023, quoting the scheme reference number PTO1057 - Zone SH & Dane Street
