Poole, Multiple Road Closures/Restrictions due to Carriageway Resurfacing

CARRIAGEWAY RESURFACING TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council, in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below to control traffic.

WHERE, WHAT & WHEN:

- Wimborne Road - road closed to all vehicles from the junction of Haynes Avenue to a point approximately 50 metres south of its junction with Heckford Road. No parking, no waiting, no loading/unloading.

- Tatnam Road, Garland Road, Heckford Road - roads closed to all vehicles at their respective junctions with Wimborne Road during this phase of the works.

Diversion: Wimborne Road, Towngate Bridge, Holes Bay Road, Broadstone Way, Cabot Lane, Waterloo Road and Wimborne Road

- Broadstone Way - weight limit temporarily revoked.

Anticipated times and dates: Tuesday 24 October and Wednesday 25 October 2023 from 7am to 6pm

- Heckford Road - road closed to all vehicles between the junctions of Canford Lane and Wimborne Road. No parking, no waiting, no loading/unloading.

Diversion: Northbound - Maple Road, Shaftesbury Road, Longfleet Road, Fernside Road, Wimborne Road. Southbound - Maple Road, Shaftesbury Road, Longfleet Road, George Roundabout, Wimborne Road

Anticipated times and dates: Tuesday 24 October and Wednesday 25 October 2023 from 7am to 6pm

- Garland Road - road closed to all vehicles between the junctions of Jolliffe Road and Wimborne Road. No parking, no waiting, no loading/unloading.

DIVERSION: Jolliffe Road, Sandbourne Road, Wimborne Road

Anticipated times and dates: Thursday 26 October 2023

- Tatnam Road - road closed to all vehicles from No. 15 to the junction with Wimborne Road. No parking, no waiting, no loading/unloading

DIVERSION: Stokes Avenue onto Wimborne Road

Anticipated times and dates: Friday 27 October 2023

WHY: To facilitate carriageway resurfacing by BCP Council.

ACCESS: Full Emergency Service access will be maintained. Residents will be informed by letter with further details of the proposed works.

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.

The Council regrets any inconvenience caused by this Traffic Order.
