What is happening?

Notice of a Local Public Inquiry, Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981

Notice is hereby given that an Inspector will be appointed by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs to determine North Yorkshire Council (Public Footpath Nos. 30.20/13 & 30.20/14, Land near Beacon Road, Seamer) Modification Order 2021 & will attend at: Falsgrave Community Centre, Seamer Road, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, YO12 4DH on 14/11/23 at 10.00am to hold a public local inquiry into the Order. The effect of the Order, if confirmed without modifications, will be to modify the definitive map & statement for the area by adding Footpath 30.20/13, commencing at its junction with Scarborough Road at TA0150 8394 & running northwards for approximately 793 metres to Grid Reference TA0146 8479 via Grid References TA0150 8412 & TA0148 8421. Width varies between 1.8 metres & 2.4 metres. The Order will also add Footpath 30.20/14, commencing at its junction with Stoney Haggs Road at TA0186 8421 & running west for approximately 205 metres to TA0166 8424, then north for approximately 736 metres to TA0167 8495. Width 2.75 metres.
