What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
NEWTONWOOD LANE, NEWTON
WHEN: 30th October 2023 to 3rd November 2023 (00:00 to 23:59)
WHERE: Newtonwood Lane, Newton between its junction with Chesterfield Road and its junction with Littlemoor Lane.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway surfacing and completion of entrance off the public highway.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Littlemoor Lane, Moor Farm Close, The Green, B6026 Main Street, B6026 Newton Road, Alfreton Road, B6014 High Street, B6014 Mansfield Road, Wild Hill, Chesterfield Road, Newtonwood Lane and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.
The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
