What is happening?
West Sussex County Council
(Billingshurst: Public Footpath No. 1325_1)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that West Sussex County Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from proceeding along a length of Public Footpath No. 1325_1 Billingshurst, from its junction with Public Bridleway No. 771 eastwards to its junction with Rowner Road, a distance of approximately 382 metres. The Order is necessary to protect public safety due to an unsafe bridge.
Unfortunately there is no alternative routes available using the Public Rights of Way network.
The Order will come into effect on 19 October 2023 and will last for 6 months.

(Southwater: Public Bridleway No. 1670)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that West Sussex County Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any equestrian from proceeding along a length of Public Bridleway No. 1670 Southwater, from its junction with Public Footpath No. 1663 (TQ171286), southwards to its junction with Coltstaple Lane (TQ169278), a distance of approximately 800 metres.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety due to an unsafe surface.
Unfortunately there is no alternative route available using the Public Rights of Way network.
The Order will come into effect on 16th October 2023 and will last for 6 months or until the Public Bridleway is safe to reopen whichever is sooner.

(Parham: Rackham Street)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that West Sussex County Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along Rackham Street between Greatham Lane and Greatham Road. The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst telecommunication ducitng works are undertaken.
The Order will come into effect on 16 October 2023 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 1 September 2023. The lengths of roads will not all be closed at the same time. Signage will indicate when roads are closed and indicate diversionary routes to use.

((Horsham District) (Parking Places And Traffic
Regulation) (Consolidation No. 2) Order 2006)
(Bailey Road & Moat Road Amendment) Order 2023 NOTICE is hereby given that West Sussex County Council made a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of waiting at any time (double yellow lines) on both sides of Bailey Road (previously referred to as School Road) and Moat Road (previously referred to as Moat House Road). The Order will come into operation on 16 October 2023.
Paper copies of documents will not be available to view in council offices or libraries. People without access to a computer who wish to have a copy of the Order should telephone the West Sussex County Council Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive a copy by post.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or on the grounds that any requirements of the act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks from 12 October 2023, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
