In The City Of Chelmsford Public Path Diversion Order Footpath 9 Broomfield
On 02/10/2023 Essex County Council confirmed the above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert a part length of Public Footpath 9 Broomfield commencing from a point at its connection with Footpath 11 west of Jubilee Avenue CM1 7HA grid ref: 57029,21071, proceeding in a south eastward direction across the crop field then grass area to a point at its connection with Footpath 12 north west of St Mary with St Leonard Church, to an alternative line running from the aforementioned point at its connection with Footpath 11 proceeding in a north eastward direction on the northern side of the fence boundary to connect with the new Cycleway/Footpath south westward of Church Avenue as shown on the order map.
Public Path Extinguishment Order Footpath 10 Broomfield
On 02/10/2023 Essex County Council confirmed the above order made under section 118 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed is to extinguish a part length of Public Footpath 10 Broomfield commencing from a point at its connection with Footpath 11 north west of St Mary with St Leonard Church CM1 7HA grid reference 57039,21052, proceeding in a north north-westward direction across the crop field then grass area to its connection with the new Cycleway/Footpath west of Church Avenue as shown on the order map.
Copies of the orders as confirmed and order maps can be requested to be posted by emailing publicpathorders@essexhighways.org or are available to be viewed at Chelmsford Public Library, Market Road, CM1 1QH during normal working hours. Copies are also available on Essex Highways website at: https://www.essexhighways.org/transport-and-roads/ getting-around/public-rights-of-way/public-path-notices. aspx and have also been sent to Chelmsford City and Broomfield Parish Councils.
The orders come into force on 31/10/2023, but If a person aggrieved by either of the orders wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the orders, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 12/10/2023 make an application to the High Court.
