What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(CHALGRAVE: PART OF FOOTPATH NO 45)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the length of Footpath No 45, Chalgrave which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) SP 9885 2514 to OS GR SP 9939 2562.

This temporary closure is required to enable bridge replacement works. The closure is expected to take place from 12 October 2023 to 11 April 2024.

There is no alternative route for footpath users while the closure is in operation.

The Order will come into operation on 12 October 2023 for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out on or near to the footpath have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(FIRST AVENUE, DUNSTABLE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of First Avenue, Dunstable.

This temporary closure is required to enable the installation of traffic calming measures to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 30 October to 17 November 2023 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Bullpond Lane, Langdale Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 30 October 2023 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(THE RYE, EATON BRAY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of The Rye, Eaton Bray outside Eaton Bray Cricket Club.

This temporary closure is required to enable water connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 17 to 20 October 2023. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Totternhoe Road, Eaton Bray Road, Stanbridge Road, A505, Stanbridge Road, The Rye and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 17 October 2023 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (LUTON ROAD, BARTON-LE-CLAY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Luton Road, BartonLe-Clay at the bridge of the A6 slip road.

This temporary closure is required to enable gully cleansing works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 16 to 18 October 2023 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Luton Road, A6 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 16 October 2023 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(PRESTON ROAD, TODDINGTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Preston Road, Toddington outside number 8.

This temporary closure is required to enable a new water supply connection to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 16 to 18 October 2023. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Bradford Road.

The Order will come into operation on 16 October 2023 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, VARIOUS PARISHES)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the following lengths of road in Central Bedfordshire.

These temporary closures are required to enable resurfacing works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

The Order will come into operation on 16 October 2023 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

It is expected that the first works will take place at some point between 16 October and 13 November 2023. Specific dates and times will be signed locally.

The effect of the Order will allow the Council to close to vehicular traffic on the following lengths of road:

i.  St Michaels Avenue, Houghton Regis between Bedford Road and Watling Place. There is no alternative route for this closure.

ii.  Britain Street, Dunstable between High Street and Richard Street. The alternative route is via High Street, King Street, Richard Street and vice versa.

iii. The full length of Cartmel Drive, Dunstable. There is no alternative route for this closure.

iv. Spoondell, Dunstable between number 80 and number 164. There is no alternative route for this closure.

v. The Rye, Eaton Bray between New Cloud Farm and the Gas Pumping  Station. The alternative route is via Totternhoe Road, Eaton Bray Road, Stanbridge Road, A505, Stanbridge Road, The Rye and vice versa.

vi. Hemel Hempstead Road, Dagnall between Pedley Hill and the Garden Centre. The alternative route is via Pedley Hill, Clements End Road, Dunstable Road, B4540, Dagnall Road, Dunstable Road, B440 and vice versa.
