What is happening?

West Sussex County Council

(Crawley – Tilgate: Brighton Road)

(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2023

NOTICE is hereby given that West Sussex County Council made

an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect

of which will be to:-

(i)  prohibit drivers from making a right turn from Brighton Road

into the K2 Leisure Centre or to make a right turn from the

K2 Leisure Centre onto Brighton Road; and

(ii) prohibit any vehicle, from travelling at a speed exceeding

30mph on Brighton Road (northbound) from the Pease

Pottage roundabout junction to Southgate Roundabout

junction and, on Brighton Road (southbound) from

Southgate Roundabout junction to Pease Pottage Hill.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst the traffic

signals at the crossing and junction are refurbished.

The Order will come into effect on 16 October 2023 and will

last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed,

whichever is earlier. The works are expected to be completed

by 22 December 2023.

(Crawley – Pound Hill: E-Path E177 Binney Court,

Hampden Close & Wakehams Green Drive)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2023

NOTICE is hereby given that West Sussex County Council made

an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect

of which will be to close the following lengths of E-path E177:

Binney Court 19-14, Binney Court 27-30, Hampden Close

to garages, Hampden Close 16-2, Hampden Close 17-9,

Wakehams Green Drive 11-29, Wakehams Green Drive 29.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst

telecommunication cabling works are undertaken.

The Order will come into effect on 17 October 2023 and will

last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed,

whichever is earlier. It is anticipated the works will commence

on or after 17 October 2023 between 0800 and 1700 hours

and will be completed by 8 November 2023. The sections

of E-path 177 will not all be closed at the same time. Signage will

indicate when the sections are closed.
