London Borough of Sutton Public Notices

LONDON BOROUGH OF SUTTON

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton on 2 October 2023 made the following Order The Sutton (Parking, Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. 5) Order 2023 under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 19841, as amended -

2. The general effect of the Order would be to introduce two recharging point parking bays at each of the locations below which would be available for electric vehicles only "at any time", without charge, provided that the vehicle is connected to the recharging post at all times while it is left at the recharging point, operating 8.30am to 6.30pm maximum stay 4 hours no return within 6 hours:-

* Benhill Avenue opposite The Adult School (in place of existing shared use parking bays)

* Demesne Road adjacent to Nos. 138 and 140 Stafford Road

* Evelyn Way adjacent to No. 246 Demesne Road

* Ferrers Avenue adjacent to No 218 Demesne Road

* Mulgrave Road outside Charter House (in place of existing shared use parking bays)

* Robin Hood Lane opposite Nos. 52 and 54 (in place of existing shared use parking bays)

3. A copy of the Order which will come into force on 9 October 2023, of the Council's Statement of Reasons for making the Order and a plan showing the location and the effect of the Order may be inspected at the Council's Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, Surrey, SM1 1EA. Copies can also be obtained by calling 020 8770 5000.

4. If any person wishes to question the validity of this Order or of any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of the said Act of 1984 or of any instrument made under the said Act of 1984 has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order were made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
