What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA

A228 COLT’S HILL, FIVE OAK GREEN TN12 6SJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A228 Colt’s Hill, Five Oak Green, on or after 22nd October 2023 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Braemar.

The alternative route is via A228 Colts Hill/Maidstone Road, A21 Pembury Northern Bypass, A264 Pembury Road, A21 Pembury Bypass/Pembury Road, Vauxhall Lane, A26 Woodgate Way, B2017 Tudeley Road/Crockhurst Street/Five Oak Green Road/Badsell Road and vice versa.

A264 PEMBURY ROAD, SANDROCK ROAD & HALLS HOLE ROAD, TUNBRIDGE WELLS TN2 3QB (PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC, NO RIGHT & LEFT TURNS) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
For the safety of the public whilst an event is being held at Dunorlan Park, Kent County Council intends to make an Order restrict traffic as per the schedule below.

SCHEDULE

No right turn from Sandrock Road into A264 Pembury Road
No right turn from A264 Pembury Road into Sandrock Road
No left turn from A264 Pembury Road into Sandrock Road
Halls Hole Road closed between Bayhall Road and Cornford Lane, diversion via Bayhall Road, Pembury Road and Halls Hole Road.
A264 Pembury Road closed at the junction with Sandhurst Road from 19.30hrs for approximately 20 minutes to allow crowds to disperse
A264 Pembury Road closed approximately 50m south of junction with Sandrock Road from 19.30hrs for approximately 20 minutes to allow crowds to disperse

This Order takes effect on or after 4 November 2023 for a period of up to 1 evening between 17.00hrs and 21.00hrs.

GARLINGE ROAD, TUNBRIDGE WELLS TN4 0QW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023
To allow underground cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Garlinge Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 16th October 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed for its entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for this closure, due to the road being a dead-end. However, residential access will be maintained at all times, when it is safe to do so.

GROOMBRIDGE ROAD, GROOMBRIDGE TN3 9PS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Groombridge Road, Groombridge, on or after 16th October 2023 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside The Drift.
The alternative route is via Groombridge Road, Bird In Hand Street, B2110 Groombridge Hill, A264 Ashurst Road and vice versa.

SANDHURST ROAD, ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS. TN2 3LA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sandhurst Road, Tunbridge Wells, from 19.00hrs on 31st October 2023 to 06.00hrs on 1st November 2023 or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with Red Leaf Close.

The alternative route is via Birken Road, Liptraps Lane, Lamberts Road, North Farm Road, Upper Grosvenor Road, Sandhurst Road and vice versa.

STREAM LANE, HAWKHURST TN18 4RD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
Because of SGN works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stream Lane, Hawkhurst, on or after 30th October 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Thorpe’s Farm House.
The alternative route is via Stream Lane, Conghurst Lane, B2244 Hastings Road and vice versa.
