A63 Trunk Road - Prohibition Of Traffic For Resurfacing Works
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14
THE A63 TRUNK ROAD (BRIGHTON STREET TO DALTRY STREET)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited has made an Order on the A63 Trunk Road, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, to enable resurfacing works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start at 8pm on Monday 16 October 2023 for 10 weeks, or until completed.
The effect of the order will be, between 8pm and 6am, at times during the works, to:
(i) close the A63 eastbound carriageway from the exit slip road at Brighton Street Junction to the entry slip road at Hessle Road, a distance of 2247 metres;
(ii) close the A63 westbound carriageway from the exit slip road at Daltry Street Junction to the entry slip road at St Andrews Quay, a distance of 2250 metres;
(iii) close the A63 westbound and eastbound entry and exit slip roads at Daltry Street Junction;
(iv) close the A63 westbound and eastbound entry and exit slip roads at Brighton Street Junction;
(v) close the cycle tracks and footways adjacent to the A63 eastbound entry slip road at Brighton Street Junction;
(vi) close the laybys adjacent to the A63 eastbound carriageway between Brighton Street Junction and Daltry Street Junction;
Traffic management will be in force and traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance). The Order comes into force on 15 October 2023 and has a maximum duration of 18 months.
