The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (No. 23) Order 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 02 October 2023 made the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.

  • The general effect of the Orders will be to:

  • Revoke the disabled parking places in the vicinity of No. 19 Addiscombe Avenue, Croydon, No. 27 Braemar Avenue, Thornton Heath, No. 490 Brighton Road, South Croydon, No. 6 Broughton Road, Thornton Heath, No. 20 Dalmally Road, Croydon, No. 546 Davidson Road, Croydon, No. 9 Fairlands Avenue, Thornton Heath, No. 104 Gonville Road, Thornton Heath, No. 7 Little Roke Avenue, Purley, No. 19 Medway Close, Croydon, No. 4 Preston Road, Upper Norwood, Nos. 9 and 40 Tanfield Road, Croydon, and No. 83 The Glade, Old Coulsdon.

  • Designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons’ badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following locations.

Alton Road, Croydon

Outside No. 40 and partially across the frontage of No. 42.

Beech Road, Norbury

Outside No. 9 and partially across the frontage of No. 7.

Beulah Grove, Croydon

Outside No. 65 and partially across the frontage of No. 63 (replaces one permit/payment parking bay).

Capri Road, Croydon

Outside No. 35 and partially across the frontage of No. 37.

  • Amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as they exist on site.

    1. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 09 October 2023 and of all associated Orders can be inspected between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made by appointment with the Parking Design Team, at Bernard Wetherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA (telephone 020 8726 6000 and ask for Parking Design). Alternatively all related documents or further informationcan be requested by email to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk.

3. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

The Croydon (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping, Loading and Waiting) and (Free Parking Places) (Amendment No. F35) Order 20-

The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No. F36) Order 20-

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council proposes to make the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.

  • The general effect of the Orders would be to:

  • Designate a new parking place at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons’ badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following location.

Peaks Hill Rise, Purley

Adjacent to the flank wall of No. 94 Foxley Lane

  • Amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as they exist on site.

  • A copy of the proposed Orders and all related documents can be inspected between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, by appointment with the Parking Design Team, at Bernard Wetherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA (telephone 020 8726 6000 and ask for Parking Design). Alternatively all related documents or further information can be requested by email to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk.

  • Persons desiring to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the, Parking Design Section, Place Department, 3rd Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA or by emailing Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk quoting the reference: PD/CH/F35 & F36 by 26 October 2023.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

CROHAM VALLEY ROAD, SOUTH CROYDON TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate works to a water service pipe by Thames Water, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Croham Valley Road.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Croham Valley Road:

a) The carriageway will be closed outside No. 75 Croham Valley Road.

b) The north-eastern footway will be closed outside No. 75 Croham Valley Road.

3. Whilst the closure is in place the alternative routes for vehicular traffic will be via Farley Road, Little Heath Road, Foxearth Road, Addington Road, Selsdon Park Road, Gravel Hill, Ballards Way, Crest Road and Croham Valley Road, or via Croham Valley Road, Ballards Way and Crest Road. Pedestrians will be diverted to the opposite footway.

4. The Order will come into operation on 09 October 2023, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed in five days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

  • any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.

  • any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS BRAFFERTON ROAD & TANFIELD ROAD, CROYDON TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

    1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate water service pipe works by Thames Water, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic movements in Brafferton Road and Tanfield Road, Croydon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

a) Brafferton Road will be closed at its junction with Southbridge Road.

b) Tanfield Road will be closed at its south-eastern most junction with Southbridge Road (adjacent to Bramley Hill).

  • During the closures the alternative route for traffic will be via Tanfield Road, Southbridge Road and vice versa.

  • The Order will come into operation on the 23 October 2023, and it is anticipated that the work will be carried out in five days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

  • The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

  • any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

  • any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 COOMBE LANE, CROYDON TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate tram-related re-surfacing works on behalf of TfL, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Coombe Lane, Croydon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

a) The carriageway of Coombe Lane will be closed north-west bound between its junctions with Shirley Hills Road and Ballards Way.

b) The south-eastern footway of Coombe Lane will be closed between its junction with Ballards Way and the pedestrian crossing adjacent to the tram line.

c) Vehicles proceeding in Shirley Hills Road will be banned from turning right into Coombe Lane.

3. During the closure, the alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Gravel Hill, as appropriately sign-posted. Pedestrians will be directed to the opposite footway via a temporary crossing point.

4. The Order will come into operation on 21 October 2023, and it is anticipated that the works will take place overnight and be completed by 5.30am on 22 October. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

5. The restriction will not apply in respect of:

  • any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

  • any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate water service pipe works on behalf of Thames Water, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic and parking in Ferndale Road, South Norwood.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Ferndale Road will be closed between its junction with Portland Road and the common boundary of Nos. 24 and 26 Ferndale Road.

3. During the closure, the diversion routes for vehicular traffic will be via Portland Road, Sandown Road, and Albert Road, or via Portland Road, Belmont Road, and Albert Road.

4. The Order will come into operation on 23 October 2023, and it is anticipated that the work will be carried out within three days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extents as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

  • any person or vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

  • any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate water service pipe works on behalf of Thames Water, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit Traffic in Leander Road, Thornton Heath.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place, the carriageway and the south-eastern footway of Leander Road will be closed outside Nos. 25 to 33 Leander Road.

3. During the closure, the diversion route for vehicular traffic will be via London Road, Headcorn Road, Leander Road and reversed, or via Goldwell Road, London Road, Leander Road and reversed. Pedestrians will be directed to the opposite footway.

4. The Order will come into operation on 23 October 2023, and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within five days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extents as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

  • any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

  • any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works to install a new water service on behalf of SES Water, they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements in Old Farleigh Road.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Old Farleigh Road will be closed between its junction with Addington Road and the common boundary of Nos. 4 and 6 Old Farleigh Road.

3. During the closure the alternative route for traffic will be via Addington Road, Selsdon Park Road, Featherbed Lane, Fairchildes Road, Chelsham Court Road, Beech Farm Road, Limpsfield Road, Chelsham Road, Sunny Bank, Farleigh Road, Old Fairleigh Road and vice versa.

4. The Order will come into operation on 21 October 2023, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 29 October 2023. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

5. The restriction will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs, Regulations and General Directions 2016.

6. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

  • a vehicle being used to carry out the said work.

  • a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

  • anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984 SECTION 14, AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC PURLEY WAY, CROYDON (VALLEY PARK EXIT)

      1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate the construction of a retaining wall, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in the Valley Park exit road off the A23 Purley Way, which gives access to Ampere Way.

      1. Whilst the said works are taking place the Valley Park exit off Purley Way will be closed between its junctions with Purley Way and Ampere Way.

      1. During the closure the diversion route for traffic will be via Purley Way, Beddington Farm Road and Ampere Way as appropriately sign-posted.

      1. The Order will come into operation on the 23 October 2023, and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out overnight on weeknights between 9pm and 5am and completed on 13 November 2023. However, the Order will remain in force for a maximum duration of 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) A vehicle involved in the said work.

(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
