Ashford, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

ASHFORD AREA

A292 Hythe Road, Ashford TN24 8DB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A292 Hythe Road, Ashford, on or after 19th October 2023 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with Gordon Close, between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A2070 Bad Munstereifel Road, A2042 Bad Munstereifel Road, A2042 Romney Marsh Road, A2042 Avenue Jacques Faucheux, A2042 Beaver Road, A292 Station Road, A292 Wellesley Road, A292 Mace Lane and vice versa.

 

Ashford Road, Hamstreet TN26 2EA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

To allow road works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ashford Road, Hamstreet, on or after 21st October 2023 for up to 16 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from Hamstreet Primary Academy to St Mary’s Close. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A2070 Ashford Road Junction With Bypass Link Road To Hamstreet, A2070 Hamstreet Bypass, Marsh Road, The Street and vice versa.

 

Beaver Road, Ashford TN23 7SD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, PROHIBITION OF PARKING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

To allow road works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beaver Road, Ashford, on or after 16th October 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of South Stour Avenue and Godfrey Walk. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A2042 Avenue Jacques Faucheux, A2042 Romney Marsh Road, B2229 Norman Road and vice versa.

Parking on Lower Denmark Road, will be prohibited the entire length. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The one-way Order on Lower Denmark Road, will be suspended to allow access. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

 

Bower Road, Mersham TN25 6AE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bower Road, Mersham, on or after 31st October 2023 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Bower Place, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, A20 Hythe Road, Station Road and vice versa.

 

Chilmington Green Road, Great Chart TN23 3DN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

To allow carriageway works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chilmington Green Road, Great Chart, on or after 18th October 2023 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Mock Lane and Chilmington Green Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A28 Ashford Road, A28 Great Chart Bypass, B2229 Brookfield Road, B2229 Beaver Lane, B2229 Beaver Road, B2229 Norman Road, A2042 Romney Marsh Road, Romney Marsh Road, Ashford Road, Magpie Hall Road, and vice versa.

 

Olantigh Road, Godmersham CT4 7EB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Olantigh Road, Godmersham, on or after 31st October 2023 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of The Street and High Street, between the hours of 09:30 and 16:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, A28 Canterbury Road, Bramble Lane, Bridge Street, Churchfield Way, High Street and vice versa.

 

Old Surrenden Manor Road, Bethersden TN26 3DW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Old Surrenden Manor Road, Bethersden, on or after 1st November 2023 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Fridd Lane and Kiln Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mill Road, Forge Hill, A28 Ashford Road and vice versa.

 

Sir John Fogge Avenue, Ashford.​ TN25 4DT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023

To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Sir John Fogge Avenue, Ashford, from 19.30 hours on 1st November 2023, with estimated completion by 05.00 hours on 2nd November 2023, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with A20 Maidstone Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The left turn from Sir John Fogge Avenue onto A20 Maidstone Road will be closed for the duration of the works.

The alternative route is via A20 Maidstone Road North Of Drovers Roundabout and Simone Weil Roundabout.

 

Station Road, Charing TN27 0JB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Station Road, Charing, on or after 16th October 2023 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 31. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pluckley Road, Charing Road, Swan Lane, Little Chart Road, West Street, School Road, Station Road, Cades Road, A20 Maidstone Road, A20 Ashford Road and vice versa.
