What is happening?

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF TOWER HAMLETS ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

TREGO ROAD - NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets made an order which will prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, stopping, or proceeding, the following temporary prohibition: Location: Trego Road, west from its junction with Hepscott Road for approximately 80 metres; Reason: To facilitate tower crane dismantle. The works are to take place on the public highway by Trident Lifting Solutions Ltd; Period: Friday 6th October 2023 to Sunday 8th October 2023; Alternative Route: For vehicular traffic will be via Wansbeck Road, Rothbury Road, Hepscott Road and Vice Versa. OSBORN STREET & OLD MONTAGUE STREET - NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets made an order which will prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, stopping, or proceeding, the following temporary prohibition: Location: Osborn Street from its junction with Whitechapel Road to its junction with Old Montague Street, Old Montague Street from its junction with Osborn Street to Number 20 Old Montague Street; Reason: To facilitate tower crane dismantle. The works are to take place on the public highway by Mc Aleer and Rush Contracts UK Ltd; Period: The works are to take place over two weekends. Saturday 30th September 2023 to Sunday 1st October 2023, Saturday 7th October 2023 to Sunday 8th October 2023; Alternative Route: For vehicular traffic will be via Whitechapel Road, Commercial Street, Wentworth Street, Chicksand Street and Greatorex Street. ARNOLD ROAD - NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets propose to make an order which will prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, stopping, or proceeding in the length of carriageway in: Location: Arnold Road at its junction with Campbell Road. Both ingress and egress of vehicular traffic is to be prohibited at this junction; Exceptions: Construction vehicles in relation to William Brinson Centre Development will be permitted to enter and exit Arnold Road at its junction with Campbell Road; Reason: To facilitate large scale housing development works as part of the construction management plan; Period: From Thursday 5th October 2023 to Wednesday 5th March 2025; Alternative Route: To access Arnold Road, all vehicular traffic should use the existing entry and exit points from Bow Road.

ROTHBURY ROAD, WHITE POST LANE AND SURROUNDING ROADS - NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets made an order which will prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, stopping, or proceeding, the following temporary prohibition: Location: Rothbury Road from its junction with Wansbeck Road to its junction with White Post Lane, White Post Lane from its junction with Wansbeck Road to the White Post Lane Bridge, Northern Arm of White Post Lane from its junction with Rothbury Road to its junction with the Queens Yard, Hepscott Road from its junction with Trego Road to its junction with White Post Lane (northern arm), Trego Road from its junction with Wansbeck Road to it junction with Hepscott Road; Reason: To facilitate bridge location works. The works are to be carried out on the public highway by Chevron Traffic Management; Period: Friday 13th October 2023 to Sunday 15th October 2023; Alternative Route: For vehicular traffic will be via Waterden Way, Eastway and Chapman Road.
