What is happening?

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made
under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping
up of Highway (West Midlands) (No.29) Order 2023.”
authorising the stopping up of a length of unnamed
footpath as lies off Lion Grove at Chesterton in the
Borough of Newcastle-Under-Lyme. This is to enable
development as permitted by Newcastle-under-Lyme
Borough Council, under reference 22/00012/REM.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge,
from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework
Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle
Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR or
nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/WM/
S247/5507). They may also be inspected during normal
opening hours at Chesterton Post Office, 45 London Road,
Chesterton, Newcastle-under-Lyme, ST5 7EL.
Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the
decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court
within 6 weeks from 11 October 2023.
