LONDON BOROUGH OF BRENT THE BRENT (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 202* THE BRENT (PARKING PLACES) (ZONE HW) (NO. *) ORDER 202*

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Brent propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of and Part I of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985.

2. The general effect of the 'Waiting and Loading Restriction' Order would be to further amend the Brent (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1979, so that-

(a) waiting by vehicles (otherwise than for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle) would be prohibited at any time in the lengths of streets specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice;

(b) waiting by vehicles (for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle) would be prohibited at any time in the lengths of street specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice;

(c) waiting by vehicles for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle for a period of more than 40 minutes in the same place would be prohibited at the times and in the lengths of streets specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice;

(d) the sale or offer for sale of goods from a vehicle would be prohibited (except on Sundays) in the lengths of streets specified in Schedules 1 and 2 to this Notice, unless there is in force a valid licence issued by the Brent Borough Council or the goods are immediately taken into or delivered at premises adjacent to the vehicle from which the sale is effected;

(e) the use of any vehicle or of any animal or the wearing of fancy dress or other costume, wholly or mainly for the purpose of advertising would be prohibited in the lengths of streets specified in Schedules 1 and 2 to this Notice;

(f) any existing prohibition on the waiting by vehicles, the sale or offer for sale of goods from a vehicle or the use of any vehicle or animal or the wearing of fancy dress or other costume wholly or mainly for the purpose of advertising in the lengths of streets specified in Schedules 1 and 2 to this Notice would be revoked.

3. The prohibitions referred to in sub-paragraphs 2(a) to (c) inclusive above would not apply in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in certain circumstances, e.g., the picking up or setting down of passengers; the carrying out of statutory powers or duties; the taking in of petrol, etc., from roadside petrol stations; to licensed street traders, etc. The usual exemption relating to vehicles displaying a disabled person's "Blue Badge" would apply.

4. The general effect of the 'Parking Places' Order would be to reduce in length a zone 'HW' residents permit parking place in Crownhill Road generally located outside No. 62.

5. Copies of the proposed Orders, of the relevant Order of 1979 and 2019 (and of any Orders which have amended those Orders), of the Council's statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders and of maps which indicate each length of road to which the Orders relate can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders at Brent Customer Services, Brent Civic Centre, Engineers Way, Wembley, Middlesex, HA9 0FJ.

7. Persons desiring to make representations or to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their representations or objections, and the grounds thereof, via email to trafficorders@brent.gov.uk, or in the post to the Head of Healthy Streets and Parking, Healthy Streets and Parking Service, 6th Floor West Wing, Brent Civic Centre, Engineers Way, Wembley, Middlesex, HA9 0FJ, quoting the reference TO/02/298/NP, to arrive no later than 21 days from the date of publication of this notice.

SCHEDULE 1 Waiting restrictions (At any time)

Chippenham Avenue, the north-east side, between 3.1 metres south-east of the south-eastern wall of No. 263 Oakington Manor Drive and 11.9 metres south-east of that wall.

Crownhill Road, the south-east side,

(a) between 48.5 metres south-west of Nos. 16 and 18 Crownhill Road and 29.5 metres north-east of Nos. 16 and 18 Crownhill Road;

(b) between 8.8 metres north-east of the north-eastern wall of No. 62 Crownhill Road and 16.1 metres south-west of that wall.

Dollis Hill Avenue

(a) the north-west side, between Edgware Road and 3.7 metres north-east of Nos. 12 and 14 Dollis Hill Avenue;

(b) the south-east side, between 5.3 metres north-east of Nos. 2 and 4 Dollis Hill Avenue and 20.4 metres north-east of Nos. 2 and 4 Dollis Hill Avenue.

Hawkshead Road, the north-west side, between 0.5 metre north-west of Nos. 13 and 15 Hawkshead Road and the common boundary of No. 96A Roundwood Road and No. 2 Hawkshead Road.

SCHEDULE 2 Loading restrictions (At any time)

Crownhill Road, the south-east side, between the south-western wall of No. 16 Crownhill Road and 29.5 metres north-east of Nos. 16 and 18 Crownhill Road.

Dollis Hill Avenue, the north-west side, between Edgware Road and 3.7 metres north-east of Nos. 12 and 14 Dollis Hill Avenue;

Hawkshead Road, the north-west side, between 0.5 metre north-west of Nos. 13 and 15 Hawkshead Road and the common boundary of No. 96A Roundwood Road and No. 2 Hawkshead Road.
