(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE)

Parish of Greetham CP Order 2023
Rutland County Council District Council (‘the Council’) has powers under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) to make traffic regulation orders affecting the adopted highway within the County of Rutland. TAKE NOTICE THAT the Council now proposes to make an order entitled the Rutland County Council District Council (Temporary Diversion of Vehicular Traffic) Great Lane Parish of Greetham CP Order 2022 as the Council are satisfied that traffic on the road should be restricted because works are proposed to be executed on or near the road.
The effect of the order will be that during the dates and times specified below all vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along the length of road known as Main Street from Great Lane to Main Street to allow Severn Trent Water to complete a Long Comm Pipe Cut off.
The duration of the Closure shall be for a maximum period of six months from 15th November 2023 or until the works are completed. It is anticipated the works will take 3 days. The closure shall come into force when the appropriate signs and diversion route are erected on site. The duration of the Closure shall be as follows: from 15th November 2023 to 17th November 2023 The alternative route during the closure will be via the route shown on the attached plan and as shown on https://one.network
The alternative route during the closure will be via the following streets: Main Street, Oakham Road, Greetham Road, Toll Bar, Hall Close, Burley Road, Cottesmore Road, Langham Lane, Burley Park Way, Stamford Road Roundabout, Stamford Road, Barnsdale Hill, Whitwell Road, Audit Hall Road, Empingham Road, Great North Road, A1 J A606 Leave Including Two Way Section N, A1 J A606 Join N, A1 Through J A606 N, A1 From J A606 To J B1081 N, A1 J B1081 Join N, A1 From J B1081 To J B668 N, Grantham Lane, Pickworth Lane, A1 From J B668 To J B1081 S, A1 From J B1081 To J A606 S, A1 J B1081 Leave S, A1 J A606 Leave Including Two Way Section S, A1 Through J A606 S, A1 Through J B668 N, A1 J B668 Leave N, A1 North Off Slip To B668, Stretton Road, and Greetham Inn Lane with a reciprocal route.
