CYNGOR BWRDEISTREF SIROL CASTELL-NEDD PORT TALBOT (HEOL CAE’R BONT, MARGAM) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from driving on the length of road set out in the Schedule below whilst the Order is in force. During such periods as are indicated by traffic signs informing the public that the road is closed.
The Order is necessary to enable Open Reach to carry out civil engineering works in the road and for the Highway Authority to carry out subsequent Highway works in the road.
The Order will come into force on the 23rd October 2023 and shall continue in force for a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. It is envisaged the work will take approximately one day to complete between the hours of 9am to 5pm.
SCHEDULE
Heol Cae’r Bont will be closed at a point approximately 990 metres west of the entrance to Margam Crematorium for a distance of approximately 120 metres along its length.
Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times whilst the Order is in force.
