What is happening?

WARRINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Notice is hereby given that, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, the Council intends to make Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Broseley Ln & Wilton Ln (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2023

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving as follows: Broseley Ln from its jct. with Broseley Pl to its jct. with Wilton Ln; Wilton Ln from its jct. with Broseley Ln to its jct. with Culcheth & Glazebury Footpath No. 109. The Order will be effective from 10pm on Saturday 28th October 2023 to 7am on Sunday 29th October 2023. The alternative route will be via Kenyon Ln, Newton Rd, East Lancashire Rd, Warrington Rd, Common Ln & vice versa. The closures are required to allow Network Rail to carry out vegetation clearance. Cantilever Bridge Southern Approach (Prohibition of Driving & Clearway) Temporary Order 2023

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway as follows: Cantilever Bridge Southeastern Approach from the jct. at Ackers Rd to the Cantilever Bridge; Cantilever Bridge Southwestern Approach from the jct. at Ackers Rd to the Cantilever Bridge. The Order will be effective from 6th November 2023 for 5 weeks, between 7pm & 1am. The alternative route will be via Station Rd, Knutsford Rd, Hunts Ln, Ackers Rd & vice versa or via Station Rd, Wash Ln, Loushers Ln, Wilderspool Cswy, Grappenhall Rd, Chester Rd, Ackers Rd & vice versa. The restrictions are required for Carriageway resurfacing. Ref: 2145084

Faraday St, Birchwood (Prohibition of Driving & Footway Closure) Temporary Order 2023

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving & footway closure on Faraday St from Daten Ave roundabout to Maxwell St roundabout, southbound only including adjacent footway. The Order will be effective from 30th October 2023 for 5 weeks, between 9:30am & 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. The alternative route will be via Daten Ave, Birchwood Park Ave, Birchwood Way & Faraday St. The restrictions are required to facilitate the widening of the existing footway. Ref: 121422

Well Ln, Stretton (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2023

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Well Ln from its jct. with Northwich Rd to its jct. with Common Ln. The Order will be effective from 1st November 2023 for 3 days. The alternative route will be via Northwich Rd, Common Ln & vice versa. The closure is required to allow Freedom Fibre to clear blockages within the carriageway. Ref: 3958553

Winwick Ln, Croft (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2023

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Winwick Ln from its jct. with M6 jct. 22 to its jct. with Stone Pit Ln. The Order will be effective from 9pm on Friday 3rd November 2023 to 6am on Monday 6th November 2023, 9pm on Friday 1st December 2023 to 6am on Monday 4th December 2023, 9pm on Friday 26th January 2024 to 6am on Monday 29th January 2024. The alternative route will be via Winwick Link Rd, Newton Rd, Winwick Rd, Mill Ln, Southworth Rd, Newton Rd & vice versa. The closure is required to allow for the construction works associated with the Parkside Development. Ref: 3973584

Arley Rd, Appleton (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2023

The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Arley Rd from its jct. with Chapel Ln to the borough boundary with Cheshire West & Chester. The Order will be effective from 9th October 2023 for 3 days. The alternative route will be via Grappenhall Ln, Barleycastle Ln, Swineyard Ln, A50, Halliwells Brow, Rowley Bank Ln, Whitley Ln, Cann Ln & vice versa. The closure is required to allow for Scottish Power to carry out electrical connection works. Ref: 3432336

Brookfield Rd, Lymm (Prohibition of Driving & Clearway) Temporary Order 2023

The effect of which is to introduce the following: Prohibition of Driving: Brookfield Rd from the jct. at Davies Way to the jct. at Whitbarrow Rd; Clearway: Brookfield Rd from the jct. at Davies Way to the bridge over the Bridgewater Canal. The Order will be effective from 16th October 2023 for 14 days. The works should only take 1 or 2 days to complete however are weather dependent so will be in place when signed on site. The alternative route will be via Eagle Brow, The Cross, New Rd, Dane Bank Rd East, Dane Bank Rd & vice versa. The restrictions are required for remedial works following the resurfacing of Dane Bank Rd & Brookfield Rd. Ref: 3432436

Lingley Green Ave & Park Rd (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2023

The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving as follows: Lingley Green Ave from its jct. with Lingley Mere (United Utilities) to the roundabout at Park Rd; Park Rd from Lingley Green Roundabout to its jct. with Mayfair Cl. The Order will be effective from 8th October 2023 for 4 weeks, although it is anticipated the works will be carried out over 2 consecutive Sundays of 8th October & 15th October 2023, between 7:30am & 2pm. The alternative routes will be as follows: Lingley Green Ave via Lingley Green Ave, Whittle Ave, A57 Warrington Rd, Lingley Green Ave & vice versa; Park Rd via Park Rd, Lingley Rd, A57 Liverpool Rd, Lingley Green Ave & vice versa. The restrictions are required to facilitate resurfacing of the carriageway. Ref: 3391504

Roundabout at Broom Ave, Witherwin Ave, Bridge Ln & Longwood Rd (Prohibition of Driving & Clearway) Temporary Order 2023

The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway as follows: Broom Ave from its jct. with Longwood Rd/Bridge Ln to its jct. with Lyon's Ln; Witherwin Ave from its jct. with Longwood Rd/Bridge Ln to Dingle Brook; Bridge Ln from its jct. with Broom Ave/ Witherwin Ave to its jct. with Epsom Gardens; Longwood Rd from its jct. with Broom Ave/ Witherwin Ave to its jct. with Harrow Cl. The Order will be effective from 9 October 2023 for 5 weeks, between 7pm & 1am. The alternative route will be via London Rd, Longwood Rd, Dipping Brook Ave, Blackcap Rd, Stretton Rd, Lumb Brook Rd & vice versa or via Lumb Brook Rd, Grappenhall Ln, London Rd, Longwood Rd & vice versa. The restrictions are required for carriageway resurfacing. Ref: 121829

Well Ln, Stretton (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2023

The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Well Ln from its jct. with Common Ln to its jct. with Mosshall Ln. The Order will be effective from 10th October 2023 for 1 day. The closure is required to allow United Utilities to install a new water connection. Ref: 3566464

York Rd, Grappenhall (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2023

The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on York Rd from its jct. with Middlehurst Rd to its jct. with Harwood Gardens. The Order will be effective from 10th October 2023 for 3 days. The alternative route will be via Chester Rd, Hill Top Rd, Victoria Rd & vice versa. The closure is required to allow United Utilities to install a new water connection. Ref: 3566365

The temporary restrictions will be in place as & when the signs are in place on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.

The Borough of Warrington (John St & Ashton St) (One Way & 20 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2023 Notice is hereby given that the Council made an order under Sections 1, 2, 4 & 84 to the

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & of all other enabling powers on 4th October 2023. The effect of which is as follows: -

1) To prohibit any Motor Vehicle from proceeding along John St (between Winwick St & Ashton St), in any direction other than an easterly direction (west to east).

2) To introduce a 20 miles per hour speed limit on John St & Ashton St for their entire lengths.

The Order will be effective from 5th October 2023. Deposited documents may be viewed on-line at https://www.warrington.gov.uk/permanent-traffic-regulation-orders or Contact Warrington, 1 Time Sq, Warrington, WA1 2NT between 9am & 5pm, Monday to Friday. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from 4th October 2023, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
